Hmmm what were they doing for past 6 years. Only 2 river ports are complete after the money spent. If contractors are running off on the plug why is nobody chasing them? Findings revealed that works on Baro, Lokoja and Oguta river ports had attained 100, 57 and 75 per cent completion respectively. The Onitsha port has been completed and is awaiting concessioning. If Niger cares about the port they could easily build the access roads and push for it to be concessioned in conjunction with Onitsha. |

I've said it times without number that this country is a joke, why should a sensible govt build something n let it rot away, I mean infrastructures that can improve the economy n well being of d nation? Redoil:who cares? Don't u know if d economy prowess of d country is spread out n not centered in Lagos, d better?? Lagos itself is a madhouse because of this. |

igbodefender:I just wonder when the other two will be finished. The concession will happen eventually. The say it will be ready 2019 but we know the are usually off, so 2021. After all that the river still need to dredged since that APC policy in the ERGP. Who knows when that happens. |
