This history we don't study in Nigeria is really affecting us.

History itself can mislead us if we read the wrong sources. Most times the accounts are from those who want to project themselves in positive light or simply don't understand other's cultures. A foreigner will call other people's cultures barbaric because he couldn't understand what they were doing and that will be written and read for centuries

I'm sure things will change. With YouTube, Google forums, people will not just rely on history classes, they'll have live conversations disputing, validating and correcting history.

A journalist wrote about this in the 2014 WC about why Argentina has no black players compared to other South American teams.
