Why Is Governor Ambode Indifferent To Issues Of Falling Containers In Lagos? by nairavsdollars(op): 7:30am On Jun 20, 2018
Governor Akinwunmi Ambode's silence on the issue of falling containers and the trucks that have paralysed Ikorodu road is sickening. I haven't seen him come to Ojuelegba area to inspect the acclivities of those trailer drivers on the dilapidated bridge who have their daily baths, urinate and defecate on the bridges.

Now, another container fell on Tuesday killing several people and damaging cars. What is the governor doing about this?

grin

Wait. You want Ambode to do what exactly? grin

As long as Apapa is the only commercial seaport that serves the 36 states, and as long as Road transportation is the only means of movement for these containers, there is absolutely nothing anybody can do about it

You better start getting used to them. We that are close to the port see them as nothing.

We no dey even gather sef if the thing fall. Na normal thing for our area grin

Yes. Normal thing.

As long as the road is the only way these stuffs can be transported, there is nothing we can do

My only issue with the government is that a large number of these flatbed trucks are not road worthy. No brake light, trafficators, and the rest. The body and joints are gone

Instead of the FRSC to start an impounding campaign on these trucks, Na private cars dem go dey pursue.
