The Super Eagles, about to leave their Essentuki base, had their training session ahead of their crucial Group D clash against Iceland in Volgograd; a game they hope to win on the back of their 2-0 World Cup opener loss to Croatia.

According to a media statement from the Nigerian Football Federation the team have settled down nicely at their Sanatorium Istochnik Hotel, Essentuki team base camp at the FIFA World Cup.

Meanwhile there was a brief airport reception coordinated by staff of the Local Organizing Committee and the world football –governing body, FIFA.

Also, at the hotel, a welcome reception organized by the Governor of Essentuki, the Minister of Sports in the Stavropol region and the Manager of Sanatorium Istochnik was held.
Also on Tuesday morning, FIFA and LOC conducted the team arrival meeting and seminar as well as a photo-shoot, ahead of the training session in the evening.
