What Do You Think Of The Second National Health Plan Launched By The FG? by Timibabaj(op): 3:46pm On Jun 22, 2018
The Buhari-led federal government recently launched the second National Strategic Health Development Plan (NSHDP) to deepen healthcare service delivery in the country.

The new NSHDP was initiated after the first plan came to an end in 2015 after a five-year period.

The Minister of Health, Prof. Isaac Adewole, explained that the five-year plan will help to foster efficient healthcare services across the country.

The government also gave official approval for the establishment of traditional and alternative medicine department in the Federal Ministry of Health.

The approval for the establishment of the department, which was given by the Office of the Head of Service (HOS) will for the first time give official recognition to traditional African medicine in the country.

I personally think this is great. As Africans, most of us cannot do without the traditional medicine but there has never been any regulation to ensure its safety.

With this recent development from Buhari's administration, traditional medicine would be properly regulated.

What are your thoughts guys?

Good to see Traditional medicine getting recognized by the Buhari administration because that's the option open to most people in the rural areas. As long as good standards and best practices are met, Nigerians in the villages will benefit from this immensely. Great job, Buhari.
