I totally agree. Seasoned punters still swear by Kelly's. I'd like to say it's the safest. That's why it's recommended for( but not exclusively to) people just starting out on punting. The anti-martingale(my favourite) and martingale on the other hand requires a larger bankroll and experience to utilize.

you have a point tho...but i have another strategy..i call it the Re-martingale technique...instead of doubling your stake after a loss you triple it...lets say you lose your 5000 naira stake on a 2 odd value bet with an 80% winning rate...instead of merely doubling your stake on your next bet you triple it...this makes you recover your both your stake and your lost winning...not forgetting your extra winning.

5k - lost stake (recovered)
5k- lost winning(recovered)
5k - extra winning

It all depends on the reliability of the market you play...you enjoy it more when your market gives you a 4/5 winning rate or 5/5 on good days ..lol i love it
