It is very wrong to be calling our leaders bad names. The government is making great efforts to make peace reign in the country

I don't know why this useless APC government choose to play politics with almost everything. It seems like almost everything they say or do now is aimed at getting our support at the polls.
The N-Power scheme was instigated to reinvest the money we saved by fuel subsidy removal into paying our uneducated graduates to work for the period of 1 year.
When crude oil was selling for about $60 per barrel, and the importation cost of petrol was around 145 naira per litre, the federal government was paying almost nothing to subsidise fuel. So the money they could have spent on fuel subsidy was channelled in paying N power beneficiaries. That's why the scheme was working then.
Right now, crude oil sell for almost $80 per barrel and petrol importation cost 205 naira per liter when we are still buying fuel for 145, the 60 naira surplus is paid by the federal government through the NNPC. Due to the enormous quantity of petrol consumed in this country, the government now spends about 2.4 billion naira every day on fuel subsidy.
With such expenditure, where will the government get money to fund the N power scheme?
Why can't this government tell us the truth that they can no longer fund the scheme because they are unable to remove fuel subsidy completely.
They just keep lying to us about the scheme so that they could get our support at the polls. The truth is that for some months now, they haven't been able to pay those who were already admitted into the scheme. But they keep promising us that new beneficiaries will be recruited.
Even the feeding of primary school pupils stopped since last term in my area, yet this yeye government still boast of that as if it was a remarkable achievement in the first place. All this lies is just to seek our support at the polls.
List the schools in your area where the School Feeding Programme has stopped.

What do you mean by 'for months now they haven't been able to pay those that they have engaged'?

I know so many of them across many states and they have been getting their pay.

If you believe they still receiving their pay, tell me where the FG is getting money to pay them when 2.4 billion naira is being spent daily on fuel subsidy.
Remember also that the scheme was supposed to be funded through money that is saved by fuel subsidy removal.

The guy you quoted seemed really ignorant.

He said 'embezzled but the economy was good'. Imagine that level of ignorance! Who allowed such person to even get on the Social Media? Lol.

How was the economy good when the first thing the APC government did as it assumed office was to 'bail out' 19 states that were 'completely' unable to pay workers salaries with N330billion? When the then FG had to borrow less than N500billion to pay April 2015 workers salaries?

It is only a stupid, brainless and fool that will not know that everything you wrote here is lie... Why can't you be reasonable and sensible enough to sit down and think for your progress in life and your unborn generation. You are condemning, criticizing and complaining based on your hatred towards this administration.
This epistle is nothing but fallacy, meaningless, useless and rubbish in totality to defame the present government and get public consideration attention for your pay master.
You can keep ranting and insulting me but let me tell you that you haven't made sense either.
I was expecting a sane, 'brainful' and wise person like you to point out one fallacy in what I said above and criticise it with real facts. But no way, you just can't do that. All you can do is to attack another person whose political views differs from yours.

Bros, I believe say you go school.

You cannot because of 'someone', an isolated case make such generalization. It is totally wrong and unacceptable.

I also have someone who had mix-ups too, which eventually got resolved and she was paid the backlog in a lump. In fact, she bought me a phone valued at N30,000 out of joy and appreciation for the support and advice I offered her through the period the issue lingered.

In case you are not aware, I make bold to inform you that over 150,000 Nigerians receive their regular pay on the Npower programme. If your person has an issue, he / she must employ patience and diligence to see that it is resolved.

As for your subsidy and N2.4 billion talk, I will advice that you 'leave matter wey pass your level'. Government has different sources of income and it's their responsibility to source funds to execute their programmes.

Enjoy your day bro.

Sorry for the mistakes... I meant to say that crude oil now sells for $80 per barrel and petrol now cost 205 naira to import.
But anyway, despite the errors I made in quoting those values, anybody that has been following the news in recent times should understand the message I was trying to pass: THAT NIGERIA NOW SPEND ABOUT 2.4 BILLION NAIRA EVERYDAY ON FUEL SUBSIDY, THAT IS WHY THEY ARE UNABLE TO PAY THE PREVIOUS BATCHES OF N POWER BENEFICIARIES.
So isn't it part of politics that they are still recruiting more batches when they can't pay the previous batches?
This is another big lie, you can't say it just because you saw 2 people out of 200,000 people not yet paid that they can't pay, By the way, why are you so hell bent on seeing the initiative not working, nobody will gain if it fails.

Subsidy or no subsidy, non of that should be our problem, government borrow all the time, this won't be the first and definitely won't be the last.

Finally this scheme has reached Oyo state I have always been waiting for this day....thank you so much my able VP. It still amazes me how this programs is forcefully addressing the issue of unemployment. If this trend can continue it will only be a matter of time before Nigeria start competing with the developed nations of the world.
As commendable as the scheme is, the beneficiaries also have roles to play to achieve its goals. They must not focus on the monetary benefit alone. They must apply the acquired skills to add value to the economy. This is much more important than the N30k incentive.

There was never a time the Buhari government said NPower would be funded through money that is saved by fuel subsidy removal. You are probably talking of SURE P of Jonathan's era. N Power beneficiaries are paid monthly. Many of them are in schools and health centres in my area. Those with payment challenge should go resolve their issues. Many who were being owed at the commencement of the programme have been receiving their backlogs, I personally know of one who received 300K two months ago as payment for ten months she didn't even work for. She collected her posting letter late, resumed work and simply because she belongs to 2016 batch A, she still went ahead to apply for backlog of payment, she was paid. I know many of them in my church, they have a forum even, and none of them have payment issues.

dammy13:
Vice President, Yemi Osinbajo has stated that 10,392 graduates from Oyo State have been shortlisted for the second batch of N-Power scheme scheduled to commence in July.

Osinbajo made the disclosure in Ibadan on Tuesday at the National Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) Clinic co-hosted by the Office of Vice President and Oyo State Government.

He stated that 9,220 volunteers benefited in the first batch of the scheme, adding it was one of the social economic interventions of the Federal Government domiciled in his office.

Osinbajo listed other programmes under his office to include the Conditional Cash Transfer, Home Grown School Feeding Programme and Government Enterprise Empowerment Programme(GEEP).

The Vice President said President Muhammadu Buhari has directed that the GEEP programme be expanded to cater for small scale enterprises.

“We are feeding 230,000 pupils, we have also employed 2,363 cooks in the state, while 14,529 households are benefiting in the Conditional Cash Transfer.

“It is the hope of Mr President that we should broaden opportunities and make it available to every Nigerian,” he said.

What we really need in Nigeria is sustainability of laudable programmes like Npower, GEEP and Home School feeding programmes, But we all know that due to ethno-religious sentiment, some individuals will still come and say 30k is too small, as if when The PDP was in Power we had any people oriented, or People base programmes as such..

Hate it or like it, the fact is that Npower has touch thousands of lives and u do not expect those persons to vote out APC, Knowing that if PDP Comes back to power they will scrap the programme and start up a fresh programme that will benefit only the HAVES in this country..

Good news from VP Osinbajo,..... The N-power initiative is the best thing that has ever happened in Nigeria, just like they said in the write up, about initial skepticism because of Sure-P in the past, introduced by PDP and was never spread to the whole country, yet some persons will never come out and admit that they have seen something good by this government even if it is crystal clear by 500,000 beneficiary with other indirect beneficiaries especially in villages like kaura namoda.
Re: N-power: Osinbajo Announces Second Batch Of Successful Applicants by marydada1111(f): 4:04pm On Jun 27, 2018
This is the best thing that ever happened to the citizens of this Country, During the past administration, the SURE P was introduced and Nigerians didn't feel the result in the country. Through this NPower program, graduates now have a job to start with and not coming back home to sit. i really appreciate the fact that this present administration is investing in people which has also in one way or the other transforming lives and contributing to the development of Nigeria.
