Lagos State Governor, Akinwunmi Ambode who visited the scene of the accident that claimed over 30 lives after tanker exploded has reacted via his Facebook account, according to him.

"Very sad day. The loss of lives in an accident like today is very painful. My prayers are with everyone affected by this tragedy."

The death toll should not be underestimated to save face. From pictures and all indication the numbers could unfortunately hit 100+

Why's nobody talking about punishing the truck owner and driver?

They broke the law by moving in the day time.

The FRSC officials on duty who let them pass through that route knowing well that tankers and trucks movement is prohibited in the day time should be fired too.

Please dont just condone..we want answers whose truck was it? Who was d driver? Where was road safety and all d plenty uniformed lagos officers when he was driving during that time of d day?

This is just pathetic, the government must have been blackmailed into non implementation.

Let us see what comes out from this tragedy. The lawlessness in this country is just too much.
