Good morning Pals. For those who had legalized their documents in Ministry of foreign affairs Abuja & in Italian embassy @ Lagos. Can anyone help me in legalizing my Nig police report,sworn affidavit and Birth certificate/age declaration. I tried getting it legalized since last year at Italian embassy in Lagos but was unable due to the poor embassy service.

All hope is not lost,i was at the Italian consulate in Lagos today,and in my presence someone was issued visa today. They have finally resolved they technical issues so carry on good people of 9ja.

I believe it also depends on the university you applied to. Mine is Ca'Foscari and the legalization staff informed me that I have to write a mail to the university for the latter to send the embassy the names of accepted students. When that happens, they would start working on the DOV.

I'm not sure about your case but maybe you could go back to the consulate and ask them specifically.

Is better you send your documents by post to a friend or family member who resides in Lagos so they can take it to an approve Translator recognise by Italian embassy.

for people based in abuja and want to translate their documents, i caleed the italian ambassy in abuja and they gave me the number of a translator based here in abuja, i called the translator and he told me that if you translate with him they will accept it at lagos even tho you studied in the south west region.

Still honour ur appointment. You can always tell them to schedule you for another day having explained the present challenge. It is easier that way.
