Nigeria is home to some of the tallest buildings in Africa. Many of these buildings are located in Lagos, and in Abuja, the Federal Capital Territory. These two places are also among the most beautiful cities in Nigeria.

Here is a list of the tallest buildings in Nigeria. This list uses standard measurement of height, and it does not include antennas and masts. This is because the inclusion of these structures may make the post lose its essence.

So, here goes:

1. NECOM House, Lagos.

This building is located in Marina, Lagos State. It stands at a height of 160m (525ft), and has a floor count of 32. The building, which was completed in 1979, suffered a fire in 1983 and another in 2015. Yet, it remains the tallest building in Nigeria.

2. Union Bank Building, Lagos.

Standing at a height of 124m (407ft), this building is also located in Marina, Lagos State. The 28-storey building is the headquarters of the Union Bank of Nigeria.

3. The World Trade Centre (Tower 2), Abuja.

No, this building is not located in New York City. It is located in the Central Business District of Abuja, Nigeria. The 25-floor office building stands at a height of 120m (394ft). It was completed in 2016.

4. The World Trade Centre (Tower 1), Abuja.

This building is the residential twin of the World Trade Centre (Tower 1). With 24 floors containing 120 apartments, the building stands at 110m (361ft), making it the tallest residential building in Nigeria. It was completed in 2016, and is also located in the Central Business District of Abuja.

5. Ministry of Communication Building, Lagos.

This building seals its place on this list with a height of 109m (358ft). Having 30 floors, it is located in Lagos State.

Other buildings on the list are:
6. Cocoa House, Ibadan.
7. Intercontinental Hotel, Lagos.
8. Independence House, Lagos.
9. CBN, Lagos.
10. Great Nigeria House, Lagos.
