Attractive by having good lawns, adequate security etc first before VAR and other expensive technology that will only serve as corruption conduits and which we cannot maintain huh

While this is a great idea, after all who doesn't love good things? But let's be realistic with our expectations, we still have a long way to go before even talking about VAR, lets start with renovating most of our dilapidated stadium first.

I watched live at stadium the match between Plateau utd and Abia warriors.... I regretted going there, with the match poised at 1:2 in favour of away team, the ref gave an unidentified penalty wch the home team missed, not done yet he gave another penalty three mins later for a push on goalkeeper.... Should I talk of a fan hitting satchet water on the linesman because he felt he was unfair.... The things wrong with our league are too many but var and goal line tech are not one of them yet....Security and let's know that home teams must not win.....suffix it to say that the away team were not too unhappy about d situation because they benefit from such in their own home too.

I don't know why this post gat me laughing.
How many Nigerian watch their league?
An average Nigerian can't list 15 team in NPL but can mention team in all division of Spain, England and Maybe Germany.

Another problem the league have is maintenance, before you know, everything will collapse in a full season or at worse, the appliance will got stolen

Whether we like it or not the use of technology in football has come to stay and it’s either we adapt fast or be left behind. Emphatically yes! It should be introduced into the Nigerian league and don’t tell me we don’t have the money or the expertise. We have the expertise ! We can train more if the need be. If Nigerian Mega-churches have enough cameras to cover everything going on in their domain why can’t the Nigerian League? It only requires extra cameras, radios and monitors. VAR and goal line technology should be integrated into the NPFL for the following reasons ?

https://techcapon.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/06/NPPP.jpg

1. CREDIBILITY: The reason our local league is not attractive enough is lack of credibility. The world will take NPFL serious if the league has credibility and what better way is there to show them we are credible ?
SPONSORSHIP: The reason NFF keeps fighting to get sponsorship is because the league is not attractive enough for investors. We hearing players been owed up and down, players running to Zimbabwe, Morocco and other third world countries to play all because the league lacks sponsorship.

2. MINIMIZE HUMAN ERRORS: We always hear stories of referee getting beating to stupor after a game because of errors. VAR we eradicate that and minimize human errors in the games. The era when referees are beaten up after a game would come to a screeching halt in Nigeria.

3.EMPLOYMENT: FIFA definitely had to employ extra personnel to cover the world cup as a result of this new technology. Think of the impact this would have on the unemployed youth all over the country. Football is big business and there’s huge money to be made from it. Let’s take advantage of it.

4.ADD GLAMOUR TO THE NIGERIAN LEAGUE: The creators of goal line technology (GLT) and Video Assistant Referee are not stupid. They know what they’re doing. There’s no doubt when our league become credible enough and starts attracting sponsorship, it will bring glamour to the Nigerian league, it will make our league beguiling, engaging, charming, charismatic, enchanting, appealing, delightful, irresistible. The era of empty stadium during football games will be over.

When teams cannot even pay salaries and sign-on fees, where will they get the money to deploy and maintain that technology, including using 36 cameras a game week in, week out?

Op, do you even know what goes into this technology in terms of cost and maintenance?

We haven't reached that stage.

More basic things need to fixed first.
Actually one basic thing to fix: light. Every other thing will fall into place automatically.

I doubt if the videos and cameras can be used in 10 games before a snake swallow them all .

Re: Should VAR And Goal Line Technology Be Introduced Into The Nigerian League? by khalids: 9:34am On Jun 30, 2018
This is the problem with naija people, you want to run before you learn to walk.....

Bros look at our league......do you think VAR is our problem,
From a business point of view do you think its justified, when some clubs can't even pay salary, welfare is poor

General infrastructure is poor, you can't even get people into the stadiums......bros VAR is the last thing we need, there are many important things to be sorted before we even start talking about VAR

By the way where you go get electricity to power the VAR....abi we go add generator and fuel wahala ontop that one too...
