That I don't know the various name of the accents doesn't mean I wouldn't be able to tell that it's an England accent. Not understanding what a Scouser (Liverpudian and Evertonian indigene)is saying due to their tongue doesn't mean I don't know it's an English/Scouse accent. I'm a Nigerian who has never left the shores of this country, but when an Indian speaks English, I can detect it even in an inebriated state. I don't understand a single Yoruba or Hausa language, so it automatically means if someone speaks it I wouldn't be able to know the languages?

Nobody is saying you won't know the language but i am talking about specific accents and dialect. Like Koice said If one doesn't know Rooney or Gerrard, you will know they are speaking English, but would you know the accent is scouse?

Yes I would, same way Koice who's not a Glaswegian can detect a Glaswegian accent simply because he studied Linguistics for some time while in school. Knowing an accent is different from understanding an accent. When a Russian speaks his native Russian language, I won't be able to understand a thing he's saying, but when he speaks English, the funny intonation he speaks with will give him away as a Russian. There are some Igbo people that have this "L" and "R" mix up way of speaking, so once they speak English, you'll be able to spot they're Igbos by their accent or the way they pronounced certain words.

Try and watch the original Tremors (1990). Starring Kevin Bacon in his prime and Fred Ward. They have ruined the legacy of an almost perfect monster movie with sequence of mediocre sequels. The price of success I guess.

Guys pls I need help with the name of this movie. I think it's genre is horror/ Thriller. In the movie, a group of teenagers go out into the woods to spend some time & on their way home, they develop a flat tire of which 2 strangers offer to help them. Unknown to them these 2 brothers killed everybody in their town & turned em into wax figures.
