In my opinion to support English National Team, is to support the empire they represent.

I also do not support the Nigerian team, in fact I only attended my first Nigerian game( against Scotland) earlier this year.

The Nigerian team IMO represents the crushed dreams of 160 million people, the hopes of what could have been, the potential of what there could yet still be, and ultimately the reality of what actually is...in a perfect mirroring of the Nigerian civil and political experience


So I chose to support Brazil in football, not just because they are the greatest footballing nation, but because of what they actually represent.
