I'm not a writer but i just have to try and be very brief.

After much deliberation, I came to the conclusion that Nigeria's problem is bigger than Nigeria. I don't blame our current government and I'm not in support of their activities either.

If you check, life was a lot better during the colonial era. I believe greed and selfishness brought about our independence which automatically inspired tribalism. Nigeria fell in the wrong hands that's why we are where we are today. Too many errors have been made, we the younger generation grew up in corruption we weren't born with it. We now see it as one of the vital ways to become successful in the country.

I believe in other for the country to move forward, we need to be recolonized, letting the British take over once again till we have become totally re-orientated. Only then can we can have capable hands to run the nation. .

what we need is to scrap presidential system of govt and go back to what we practices in the early 60s, as a federation of three regions (northern, western, and eastern) under a constitution that provided for a parliamentary form of government.
Under the constitution, each of the three regions retained a substantial measure of self-government.

if we are still going to be governed by our own, I believe one way or the other, we are still gonna face the problems we are facing cuz it's in us already. I think we need a totally different hands.

it appears to be the only genuine solution to having a better Nigeria. except you have a more better idea.

What Nigeria needs (which sadly we all know wouldn't happen) is for a neutral party like what you suggested to come and take over governance for a given period (say a decade). During this time, their remit would include purging us of our unbridled greed, tribalism and misplaced religiousity. They would equally be charged during this intervening period to restructure the country back to its pre-1966 settings!

I would have been a bit apprehensive had it been its the Great Britain of the period up to the 70s that would be asked to do this...those ones had a superior/imperialist mindset towards blacks! But the GB of today is much more liberal and fair-minded.
