Is ajumbaise safe for mum breastfeeding? Won’t baby suck it from breast? Is it safe for someone planning to take in ASAP? Hope it’s not contraceptive? If no are the replies pls reach me on how to send to me in Lagos - iwuoha.samuels@yahoo.com

AJUMBAISE is safe for breastfeeding moms

Baby will get just a little amount very safe .

Its not for someone trying at the moment.

It is a form of contraceptive due to the udah in the spices but it's just for the duration of intake, once you go off it you are ready to conceive cos its not retained in the bloodstream.

My son has been running high temperature for 2weeks now. I took him to Angelic care children s
Hospital in Abuja, full blood count test was done , it came out positive (1+) iinjections and drugs like lokmal, camoquine was given yet it persisted . His head is always hot. We did another test but this time blood culture and nothing was seen. We did another full blood count and It came out positive again (1+) drugs were given yet he's is still down with fever. He is very weak. Pls what do I do?. And any recommendation of another children's hospital in Abuja will be appreciated pls.

Why not try another hospital or see a paediatrician instead of a general doctor

Hello mummys
I’. Pls post all counsels as none will be a waste as it’s all new to me. Also my naval is still protruding, what can I do to help? Thanks so much Mummys

Ahh!!! Your questions plenty oo.
First of all Congrats on the birth of your LO.

1: for the tear, continue with your sitz bath, do kegel exercise, Take fruits rich in vit c, sit on wooden chair.
2:Try and stop carrying your lo too much before he gets use to it. Na you go suffer am lass lass. After feeding, place baby on your shoulder and slowly rub the back for some min. Sometimes they take time to belch but maybe before you put baby down, he/she'll def belch. Spitting I believe is normal but you just have to watch out and clean it. I only carry carry when he's crying or when he's awake and carrying sickness start disturbing me.
3: I didn't have that big naval with my 2nd, but with my daughter. I concentrated more on my naval when I massage with water and when I tie wrapper, the second tying is on the naval area.
4: You can check any good stores, supermarket in your area and buy baby milk with 1
5: You can register your baby for immunisation in the hospital you gave birth or even in a health center
6: Ajụ mbaise is safe. I cook mine with ụda and uziza and drink the water.

Hello Mamas - A Dad in here, hope I'm welcomed? My young man just clocked 1yr, he had some serious "eela" not long after birth and that took a while - thanks to Aveeno and a bit of the red leaves, all is cleared now less a couple of spots. However, his hair has never really grown since the little ones got chopped off by "eela and cradle cap". Any idea of cream to use or steps to take to increase his hair growth?

Where do babies start to roll to first? Tummy to back? Or back to tummy?

My children roll back to tummy easily then struggle to roll tummy to back.

What does the young man need hair for? You can use coconut oil/shea butter on his head but its no guarantee for growth as genetics is also a major factor

I think it depends on how you lie them

Rash like between high thigh and waist and another small spot with pus on a 2weeks old.
Been using pampers diaper for new born, could it be he’s outgrown the size? I use about 15 dia
pers daily as I don’t let him sit in wee or poo so don’t get why he would have a diaper rash. What else could this be pls? What say u experienced Mummys
I’m applting aquaphor though and clean with warm water sometimes instead of always using wipes
Anything else I can do?

Douching is diff from sitzbath.
Douching is introducing water into your body(vagina) but sitz bath is sitting inside a bath tub or sitz bowl with the water reaching your hips or just before your hips
I had a tear not 3 degree but it broke down but not everything.
Follow the advice given to you dear

Leave the diaper off for 30 mins to air him. Take him to a Paediatrician so they prescribe the right ointment to dry up the pus, though it won't work asap as the skin is not broken yet (they won't want to prescribe oral anribiotics).

Do you apply generous amount of vaseline before wearing him diaper? I don't know if he is too young. I would have said apply cacatin to the rash.
As for the pus maybe you should take him to a doc

@Giddyperson i'm sorry to take you back but i read where you stated you got your 12mths vaccination at 6k or so,pls is that a GH or which location is it because i enquired about it at our recent vaccination and i was told that everything i.e all the vaccination at 12mths would cost 14k though it's a private hosp. and i don't think GHs give all that.

@Lululuv, your son is such a cutie i couldn't take my eyes off the pic (sugar mummy tinz) grin grin grin.Happy belated birthday to him,he grow more in favour and God's abundance.
Hi, I said mine cost 6k cuz the hospital had split most of the 12 months immunizations and moved them to 15 months so I'd be paying most of the balance then. I think 14k is a cool price for the one year immunization if you're getting everything on the schedule

U need to use sitz bath, warm water with salvon and salt. Sit on it for like 15mins daily. It should give u relief then always take your vitamin c and drugs given to you at the hospital.

About your baby, allow air to his bum a bit, would have told u to use some ointment but it would be best you see your paediatrician.

On a final note, you "sound" really exhausted. It is well dear, take it easy. It can really be overwhelming taking care of a newborn on your own but believe me it gets better as days go by. Kisses to your prince.

Sorry, whats positive, malaria right? I like responding to cases that i have experience in. Some anti malaria drugs dont work not only for adults but for kids. I was always treating my son of malaria monthly, and i became worried. No mosqutoes in my house, sleeps under net but he will run temperature monthly.

Na so we go hospital again and the doctor said oya test, whe result came na malaria, na so i shout. I dont want that combo thing you give him, change it or i pen down my greviance cos he was arguing i dont follow prescription. At last he gave him artesunate for children. That was in march, till now i have not visited the hospital.

Am not asking you buy baby artesunate, but you may need to change to another anti malaria drug for kids. The thing is, the temperature will never go down if the malaria is still there so act fast. Two weeks is a very long time. See a paed today not tomorow, dont accept the same drug used before!

My own word sha.

Air it out and try baby tribotan, always dries out rashes in a day Also I thought size new born is for really little babies, maybe it's time to move up a size. Always use Vaseline or shear butter as barrier cream too

Use Sudocrem.

My boy had diaper rash some months ago and sudocrem cleared everything to clean skin in less than a week. It's very effective.

And after it clears please always apply Vaseline on groin before wearing him diaper. then make sure he isn't reacting to the Vaseline.

To avoid your baby having rash always;

*Dont always use wipes! When at home wash his bum with warm water when he poos and when changing diaper.
* air his bum daily for like 1hr. Or say 30 mins
*rob his bum with vaseline, or ori before wearing him diaper
* when you spend long hours outside, ensure you remove his cloths immediately you return and air his bum (after bathing him)
* buy a yard of rubber under lay. You can lie him on it during the time you air him. Thats if you are busy for that moment.
* dont over cover your baby, they need some fresh air too. However, dont open him up too much. Choose your cloths for the weather.
* take oranges and vitamin c well. Helps your sucking baby body fight rash.

These are what a nurse friend sent to me when i gave birth. For real, they worked for me. I dont experience rash with my girl at all, my boy was jsut once when i left him with someone for long hours.

I wish Oga can understand. Taking care of toddlers is not a joke. By the way, don't leave them at home without any adult to take care of them. So they won't injure themselves.

Buy Cacatin, it's very very effective. U can buy it from any health centre around u. It's sold for 150. Also be exposing his bum to fresh air and avoid using Scented Wipes. Make sure u use vaseline when changing his Diaper.
