Ok, I didn't know about the northern parts of enugu state converting to islam. Same with nsukka and abakiliki people. I read on the news the other day about a large donation from dangote to ebonyi moslems. One ebonyi alhaji ajah was jumping up and down for joy. That simply goes to show that some northern igbos have been infiltrated by islam that will result in a slow creep into igbo heartland.
That validates not negate what I was saying about the Iranians. It looks like the Iranians are trying to get in the game after discovering that islam have taken root in igboland and they didn't want shiite islam to be left behind. Of course, the Iranians are a BIG BIG THREAT. After all, while all the moslem countries will forever remain 100% moslem, former 100% christain groups will soon see their christian numbers go down and their moslem numbers go up. A process that started in yorubaland a while ago which will in no distant future see the christian Yorubas become a tiny minority.

I'm very sad now. We need to do something fast to stop or eliminate those embracing islam in Igbo land.

Not surprised that you are wondering because some of you are just wandering around in the DARKNESS. Like I told one guy some time ago, just try to leave your village for once in your life. You don't even have to cross the ocean. Morrocan, Kenyan and South African visas are not hard to get. Go and visit cities like Rabat, Nairobi, Cape Town, Johannesburg, Durban, to see how they build things. I have even suggested visiting Abuja to see how it was built. All these JUNK they are building in igboland is a JOKE. The funny thing is the amount of CHEST THUMPING coming from you guys about your prowess in business, but you guys don't seem to know how to do other things right. The pictures I've seen about some of these estates like heliu are typical of all other RUBBISH that is springing up in the south east ie houses that are built with BLOCK and CEMENT; the entire front yard and back yard covered with concrete instead of grass; no trees in sight; HUMAN WASTE that is buried in the backyard; BOREHOLE for clean water. I even saw a GUTTER to nowhere, like it is on every SINGLE one of our roads. It's all GARBAGE IN, GARBAGE OUT. Stop it NOW. Start doing things the right way. It's 2018 for crying out loud. Stop this MEDIOCRITY in igboland.

This is so true. I think its shortsightedness from our developers. Sometimes I wonder if they don't see what is happening in other countries. The sad part is that it doesn't cost much to plant grass and trees instead of 50ft fence. Now , you also have to consider security. The design of houses in Southeast is very poor, very poor.

You said something very important that I think that so many igbo readers are not truly aware of. No matter how bad things are today in Nigeria, Igbos are doing amazing when compared to others.

Apart from Lagos and Abuja, there is no other place in Nigeria experiencing the level of construction boom going on in the East.

When we post developments pictures of hard working igbos with beautiful houses and brand new neighborhoods, so many of them lose their minds.

They immediately go and create a fake igbo sounding moniker to disrupt the thread. They know that most igbos will ignore them if their true ethnicity is revealed so they work really hard to learn as much as they can about igbos. I feel pity for them because their online disruptions doesn’t stop the developments going on in real life.

This is what we're talking about! When awarding or executing a contract, do it properly and don't cut corners because you feel either no one cares or will notice (b'cos it's a third world country), or because you want to make illicit gain!

Abakpa is fine and getting good attention. The roads are good and gutters are working. Traffic blockage is being fought by the new traffic wardens in Town. But, don't expect Abakpa to become Independence layout overnight. Abakpa had a major setback as it was not well planned like other parts of town. Remember, Abakpa was a village of Nike people where ancestral homes were scattered before the coming of the white man. It won't be easy to plan it now.

However, the upper parts of Nike like Ibagwa, Amorji, Edem and Umuchigbo are mapping out lands for some sort of planned development. We hope the development of those listed towns will correct the way we see that end of town.

The roads are bad, most houses look like they are going to fall at any time, the whole place looks dirty; sometimes when I go to New heaven or independence layout I wonder if abakpa where I live is also part of Enugu state.
