The original Greek word daimon does not carry such negative connotations.[1] The Ancient Greek word δαίμων daimōn denotes a spirit or divine power, much like the Latin genius or numen.[2] The Greek conception of a daimōn notably appears in the works of Plato, where it describes the divine inspiration of Socrates.

In ancient Greece a Demon wasn't really an evil being the King James Bible translators knew this the word Demon isn't found once in the KJV

So where did Christians Get this idea that Demons are evil creatures planning their destruction?

All I know is that African demons are demonic/Evil. I don't know much about Greek demons
