Brazil and Belgium meet on Friday evening as the World Cup stakes heighten further.

The Selecao overcame a stubborn Mexico to make their seventh last-eight spot on the trot, while the Red Devils came from two goals down to beat Japan with virtually the last kick of their last-16 clash.

This will be by a distance the biggest test either nation has faced in Russia thus far and a semi-final place in the prize.

Brazil take on Belgium at the Kazan Arena, with kick-off scheduled for 7pm BST.

Brazil will be without Casemiro, who is suspended after picking up a second yellow of the tournament. Fernandinho is likely to come in.

Gabriel Jesus's starting spot could be in doubt after another positive impact from substitute Roberto Firmino.

This game will be really tough,Brazil are the no1 contenders to win the world cup and I think a win today will certainly guarantee that...
Belgium are a good side with loads of attacking strength but they showed against Japan that they can be very vulnerable, Tite should have taken a point or two from that game..
I think Belgium will find it very hard to break down the Brazil defence..
I predict Brazil to go through here,though with both goals coming in the second half

My best world cup game so far in this tournament is and still d Belgium Japan match. That to me is worth watching over and over again, but playing interesting matches doesn't win u d cup, rather scoring goals does d job. Brazil has a very solid defense especially with d way they block shots from opponents, Belgium isn't that strong defensively. I tip Brazil to go all d way.

This is a hard one for me, I'd have loved both teams not to play each other now.. I will stick to Belgium though.

If only Martinez will drop the static Witsel and play with Dembele so KDB can be free to do damage.
