I am actually the last person you would accuse of being unduly nationalistic.

But we can all agree that with respect to rights, they'd be Better off in Nigeria.

It is not like Nigeria is an advanced democracy as such.

But the social chaos in Nigeria gives a sort of freedom you cannot find in Cameroon.
sorry bro. Now i understand where u are heading to.

Such a sad development......"clashes between government forces and separatists seeking to establish a state they would call ‘Ambazonia’," could it be them? angry
you are right. It's them. I smell America. that's how they start from one small community till they get to where they are going. If you know, you know.

Nnamdi Azikiwe should have been more diplomatic with these people.
Give them their desire and keep them within the Eastern family.

The southern Cameroons ancestors too didn't know that by spiting Dr.Nnamdi azikiwe, their children would bear the bitter brunt of it.

From fry pan to fire.
You have not read the full story of that referendum. You can also be sure it was rigged in order to whittle down Eastern region standing. Ambazonia or whatever the call themselves is still a British colony held in trust for them by the French.

Why are africans so stupid. You mean to tell me they couldn't come up with an amicable resolution over use of one slave master language over another?

Why are africans so basic? Its sad.
it has nothing to do with language. I understand perfectly where they are coming from. The anglophones own at least 70% of resources from plantations to oil yet the anglophone regions are treated so badly. where do I start from. bad roads, poor government hospitals, no airports nothing. yet the francophones have it all.

Possible.

But they made themselves the tool for any such imperialism.

It must have been a very good option for them at that time ,though.

The anglophones are the minority and they are peace loving people, so its easy to treat them anyhow. I guess the francophones never thought they will rise up one day.

I have met a few. They are good people.

Paul Biya is an idiot. He should have treated them better.

Once secessionism starts it is impossible to stop.

He should have learnt from their history in Nigeria.

The Amba boys are as poorly strategic as IPOB that they don't realize war is best fought at the enemies home. Noise making and harassment of innocent civilians because of tribe or language cannot give you freedom but rather war and destruction.

what actually triggered this is that the government were opressing the anglophones politically to the extent of appointing French speaking judges and teachers to head the courts and schools, putting French speakers at the helm of affairs in English region without appointing English speakers in French region. Imagine a judge reading out judgment in French for English speaking people and French teachers that barely understand English teaching in school dominated by English pupils.

Ambazonia as a nation would be a bad example for Nigeria as the region is in the corridors of the old eastern region of Nigeria... Let's watch as it pans out. Nigerian forces are presently too overwhelmed by internal crisis to even consider a military action in case of spill over
