Sad. Not much of a chance....the grooves at the edge of the road shows its a highway where one has to drive fast....to crash into oncoming traffic will always be horrific. Friday afternoons...Friday nights...early Saturday mornings.... too many drivers high on something or other.

What great respect for the dead is displayed here. If this tragic accident occured in Nigeria, graphic pictures of victims would have filled the Nigerian internet and whatsapp messaging space. God help us in this country. RIP to the dead.

O Lord how great thou are,I have been thanking God for the past two days because this accident is exactly what happened to me two days ago...i was travelling with two of my best friends on N17 high way on the way back from seeing my friend's baby mama...an oncoming truck beat the robot (traffic)when it wasn't supposed to and slammed into me....i am even surprised how we all came out unhurt...and this is what claimed an entire family.......my car is a wreck but I keep on thanking God..you are so faithful to me...how great thou are,how great thou are....singing

The mother, 53-year-old Mary Rose Trinidad, was rushed to the hospital with serious but non-life-threatening injuries.

Authorities said the parents were wearing seat belts, but the four girls were not.

A New Jersey father and his four daughters were killed in a car wreck on Friday afternoon as the family made their way back home from a trip to Ocean City, Maryland.

Police said the family of six was traveling northbound on Route 1 in Delaware just before 4pm when a maroon pickup truck crossed the center median into oncoming traffic slamming into the family's white Toyota Sienna minivan.

The minivan came to stop on the median and looked unrecognizable in photos.

Authorities said five of the family members were killed in the crash and pronounced dead at the scene.

They have been identified as 61-year-old Audi Marquez Trinidad and his four daughters Kaitlyn, 20; Danna, 17; and twins Melissa and Allison, 13.

This ia really sad... A better “family car” should have provision for seat belts for all passengers and people should make proper use of them at all times.
