All those who are asking about who the PDP candidate is are obviously not Ekiti indigenes. So, this election doesn't concern them.

The real Ekiti indigenes who will be casting votes on Saturday know who their candidates are.

They are no dafts!

With the yesterday's episode, he has won the heart of many.
Unless it is rigged, Fayoshe's candidate will win with a big margin.

On what basis should any sane Ekiti person vote for a man they had rejected before. Forward ever backward never.

Ekiti should press forward and do away with butlickers anf yessirmen and go with men with courage and bold steps in the face of deadly terrorist attacks.

Ekiti doesnt need a man that will concur to every bullsh1t handed down from bubu. Ekiti must never make that mistake of voting in a man they have rejected, he is only coming to loot since there was nothing for him at the ministerial level, he now wsnts to come back to where he has the final say. And to fulfil bubu's evil agenda in the state.
If he performef excellently there would be no need to fight to come back.

In as much as I respect your opinion, I can boldly tell you
your permutation might not work.

I'm from Ekiti, in fact I'm from the same town with Prof Eleka. And I must say if anyone thinks what happened to Fayemi in 2014 will repeat itself, that person is living in the past.

Did you know Fayose lost a senatorial election against Sen
Ojudu in 2011 despite his claim to be the friend of the people?

No doubt about it, he's love by some people and I must let you know the love and support he enjoyed in 2014 has drastically reduced.

WHY PDP MIGHT LOOSE SATURDAY'S ELECTION.
1. He claims to be the friend of the worker and no worker in
the state has received a salary for this year. Infact, he's owning up to 7 - 9 months salary. The same person that said that any governor that can't pay workers salary should resign. Come to Ekiti and see how workers are lamenting everyday. I'm very sure many of the workers won't vote for Eleka.

2. Prof Eleka has no political credibility. He's politically
unknown. We are from the same town like I said earlier and I
know him very well...
We have 4 indigenes of Ikere also contesting as Governor. 2
are former Deputy Governors. Hence, the vote coming from
the town as the 2nd largest town in Ekiti after Ado will be
divided.

3. Many of Fayose's top political supporters have left him to
team up with Fayemi.
* Dayo Adeyeye, former Minister and immediate past PDP
national spoke person is now with Fayemi
* Sen Fatima Raji Rasaki representing Ekiti central senatorial
district ( Fayose's Senatorial district) joined APC on Tuesday.
* Owoseeni Ajayi (Antony General of the State appointed by
Fayose in 2003 and again in 2014) joined APC on Tuesday.
* Others include the state house of Assembly chief whip, his
SA on transport, a member of the house of Rep have also
joined Fayemi's team.

4. Fayemi wasn't really bad in his first term as Fayose painted. I can name with my eyes closed over 10 meaningful programs Ekiti people enjoyed under Fayemi's regime in which Fayose canceled when he came to power.
* Free Education from primary to secondary school level.
* Free WAEC and NECO
* Free laptop to secondary school students
* Ilera laafin (Free health care services for Obas)
* Soup Kitchen
* #5000 monthly to aged Citizezn
* #10000 monthly for youth volunteers
* Peace Corps
* 5 kilometer road project in each local government
* Bursary and scholarship for students. E.T.C

But I must tell you, Fayemi was rigged out of office..

I'm not a politician nor sympathiser of any candidate.
But as an Ekitian, I pray the will of God prevail.
You mean Fayemi did all these?

Ekiti guber: Why we stopped Governor Fayose, PDP from holding rally – Police

source:https://www.infonewsnigeria.com/discussion/1604/ekiti-guber-why-we-stopped-governor-fayose-pdp-from-holding-rally-police#latest

The Ekiti State Police Command has said that it prevented a rally called by the state governor, Ayodele Faose, from holding on Wednesday to forestall the outbreak of violence between the two leading political parties.

It also claimed that it was not true that its personnel invaded the government house or blocked the entrance to the complex.

The Police Public Relations Officer, Caleb Okechukwu, in a statement he signed on behalf of the Deputy Inspector General of Police, Operations, Habila Joshak, on Wednesday, said the public should discountenance the allegations that it attacked the governor and invaded his office.

The statement described the allegation as “misleading and aimed at causing anxiety in the minds of the public.”

“In furtherance to the presence of police officers around the Prof. Olusola Eleka Pavilion at Fajuyi today, two political parties intend to have their rallies at the same date and in Ado-Ekiti metropolis,” the statement said.

“But the Commissioner of Police advised the political parties in writing on the need to have their political activities at different time and because of its security implication.

“The police will, at all times, continue to maintain law and order and also rise up to their responsibility to perform their mandatory and statutory duty of protection of lives and property of innocent citizens before, during and after the election.

“The police would also want to use this medium to alert the general public that they should expect more of this misleading information from person(s) who do not mean well for the good people of Ekiti State.

“The police enjoin the general public to confirm the source of their information before circulating same to their friends or loved ones.”

However, when newsmen reached the Publicity Secretary of the All Progressives Congress, Taiwo Olatunbosun, he denied knowledge of any plan by his party to use the pavilion on Wednesday for a rally given that the party held its grand rally on Tuesday.

“I am not aware of any planned rally,” he said. “Nothing of such has been brought to my notice.”

Newsmen report hundreds of police officers barricaded the venue of the PDP rally, close to the Ekiti government house on Wednesday morning. In videos of the incident that have since gone viral, the police used tear gas to disperse the PDP supporters, many of whom were putting on while based on the request by Governor Ayodele Fayose, who was also affected by the police action.

Although Mr Fayose is not a candidate in the election, his deputy, Olusola Eleka, is. Mr Eleka is the candidate of the governing PDP in the state. His major opponent is Kayode Fayemi, who was until a few weeks ago, the minister of solid minerals.

@SuanusBlog

The good people of Ekiti State will be going to poll on saturday to elect a new governor.

The contest may be between the ruling Peoples Democratic Party, PDP and the main opposition, All Progressives Congress, APC.

Suanu's Blog therefore highlights 10 reasons why the PDP May emerge victorious.

1. The Popularity Of Fayose; That the Ekiti State Governor is very popular among his people is a fact that can't be disputed. He is a man loved and cherished by his people. Fayose understands the needs of his people and knows how best to please them. If the troops of supporters behind him is converted into votes, then the party will emerge victorious.

2. The Resolve of PDP to retain the state: As the PDP plans to retain the presidency in 2019, the party is also making conscious efforts to ensure that she doesn't lose any state currently under its umbrella. This is why the party will put all resources at its disposal to ensure that the APC doesn't snatch the state from them.

3. The Propaganda of Fayemi Bringing Herdsmen to the state; Some persons in Ekiti have already bought over the propaganda that the candidate of the APC intends to halt the state anti-Open grazing law and allow Herdsmen from President Buhari's tribe to cause mayhem in the state. Although Fayemi has denied this continually, some persons in the state still believes that He (Fayemi) can do anything to please Buhari including the Herdsmen debacle .

4. The Bad Policies of Fayemi's First Tenure: Some persons are of the opinion that if Fayemi is given a chance to return, he will bring back some of the alleged harsh and anti-people policies that characterised his first tenure. Those against this are seriously rooting behind the PDP and its candidate.

5. The Stomach Infrastructure of the Fayose Govt: Ordinary citizens of Ekiti State are so endeared to Gov.Fayose chiefly because of its usual stomach infrastructure drive that have seen them receiving tablets of rice, money and other items. As a way of appreciating those kind gestures, many people in Ekiti State will massively vote for Fayose's anointed candidate who has also vowed to continue with all the policies of his current boss.

6. Constant Criticism of the Buhari Government: Many Nigerians and the good people of Ekiti State are so proud of the courage of Gov.Ayodele Fayose to constantly criticise the bad policies of the Buhari Government. Fayose is seen as the defender of the masses. This has increased his national fame and support base even in his state. Because of this, many Nigerians even outside Ekiti State are already calling on Ekiti People to reward Fayose's bravery and doggedness by voting for his candidate in Saturday's election.

7. Infrastructural Development in Ekiti State: The government of Fayose has recorded some giant strides in the development of infrastructure. The most recent is the commissioned flyover that excited former President Goodluck Jonathan.

8. The failure of the Buhari Govt: The perceived poor performance of the Buhari Government has greatly affected its goodwill across the country even in Ekiti State. Some people now see the possibility of APC taking over Ekiti State as a taboo that mustn't be allowed to happen.

9. Mobing Up Sentiments; Fayose's constant attack on the government has earned him massive sympathy about expected vengeance plot against Him. Very recent is the "drama" between him and the police yesterday in the state. As expected, that event has attracted more sympathies to him and his party and some persons have allegedly vowed to now vote for the PDP as a way of fighting back the APC-led federal government who they accuse of being behind the Governor's latest ordeal.

10. The Resolve of the people to defend their votes: Using so-called federal might to rig the Ekiti governorship election may meet a stiff resistance as the people, especially members of the PDP have been charged to defend their votes even with their lives. If the people keep to this and vote with their lives even on the line, they may eventually fight Prof.Olusola into emerging as the next governor provided they have the decisive majority.

How all these will play out will hopefully be revealed after Saturday's most crucial election.

What is important is for Ekiti People to be peaceful and law abiding.

This should be called why pdp will lose.this post should have been a list of projects and achievements of fayose but what am seeing as a project is the low quality flyover.the rhetorics of herdsmen tking over ekiti only appeals to the unenlightened like fayose.anambra and ondo state has more herdsmen than ekiti state but during the guber polls, they never used it as a campaign so why is fayose and pdp raising imaginary dusts? Ekiti people are too educated to be fooled again.what excuse does fayose has for not paying salaries? Aregbesola excuse is over investing in infrastructure, yahaya bello inherited the backlog from idris wada, what of fayose?
