They tightly marked their area and tried to block the passing lane to hazard. He then had to come deep to pick the ball and drive it forward. Unfortunately, the distance from goal was too much to cover before he could cause much problem. Chadli could nt beat his man to put in crosses, and that was a minus 4 them in attack. If lukaku had been a little bit more useful with chadli and kdb at their best, maybe, the result would hv been different.

Kante and Jorginho can't be playing every match. We've been lucky with injuries etc.

Back in the day Essien, Ballack, Lampard and Makelele share 3 positions with one more backup.

At least back in the days lampard and ballack to an extent proved great advantage in attack from mildfield. In this current Chelsea mildfield how many can provide that?

We've never had a team without at least 3 competent midfielders for DM during that era.
