I don't know the relationship btw ndi Igbo and the Jews if any does exist at all, but I do know we have lots of similarities both in terms of our blessings and our challenges.

For whatever reasons, Igbos are resented as much as possible even by there own flesh and blood. As long as an Igbo man finds a basis to deny his Igbo root, he does so with pleasure.
I am aware that Some Jews although not as foolishly prefer to be quite about there Jewish lineage whenever possible.

The Irony however, is that this are 2 peoples who have everything to be proud of. They are by far the most enterprising and innovative minded people I know in the various regions they occupy.

What then is the problem?
It seems to me that our cause lies in our blessing.
It appears that because of the immense hatred resulting from the envy and Jealousy our not so progressive neighbours, characterised usually by cheap blackmail, stereotyping, and negative characterization, it seems rather more convenient to be belong to the crowd or seat in the fence.

The only problem however is that unlike the natural Jews, we lack a leadership that is willing to rise above the waters of selfishness and greed in other to move us in the correct direction.

As for me, I am unapologetically proud of my Igbo Heritage. I'm eternally grateful for being Igbo. Any real Igbo hear know what I'm saying. The only way of knowing the blessings of being Onye Igbo is to be Igbo.

It doesn't matter how many cowards exist around us and within us, it's sweet to be Igbo. The fewer we are the bigger the opportunities. If you know, you know.

Please leave them alone. The day the so called Oyel dries up or becomes useless, we go know who be Niger delta for real.

Isn't funny how against all odds, we are still ahead in all the indexes?

Frankly speaking a lot of my friend from the proposed Anioma area do not deny being Igbo b4 me, but I see they prefer to say they are deltans first before identifying as Igbo.

Though for me, those Anioma people proposing the annexation of Onitsha, while they keep mutr over Igbanke and Ikalands trapped in Edo state, are also shortsighted.

Both groups, insisting that they rather have No Anioma state than lose Onitsha to Anioma, and the Anioma groups looking to Annex Onitsha but remain mute over Ikalands in Edo state, are hunting in already secured territory, when focus should be on recovering of lost territories.

Though, personally for me, until I see a concrete written agreement stamped and duly signed, that would ensure that Anioma state when created would be returned to SE it was separated from by Bernard Bourdillion in 1939, I would not support Anioma state creation, neither would I oppose it, I would rather support Adada, Njaba, Etiti,Aba states from SE.
Because from the look of things, the Ukwuani and Ika sections of Anioma are rabidly Igbophobic, and I'm beginning to doubt if they would ever want to have anything to do with SE Now or in the future.
We might end up supporting Anioma creation, only to get kicked on our faces by those two groups, with Enu-ani people having no option but to move with the flow.

We recently saw Obi of Agbor Igbophobic press release, and we are no strangers to the deep Igbo hate going on in Ukwuani/Ndokwa axis. I'm aware that there exists Igbo denial is Oshimili/Aniocha(Enu-ani) axis, but I'm confident we stand a chance there, it's the Ukwuani-Ndokwa and Ika axis, that I had since given up hope on.

We would be stupid to ignore all these, and leave our various state agitations in SE, to go support an Anioma state creation that might end up refusing to leave SS for SE.

There is never going to be a way in this country that a man whose name is Chibuzo Dike will not be regarded as Igbo by everybody. Why do u think it was Gej and not peter odili that became yaradua's vp. Why do u think Kaduna Nzeogwu's coup is regarded as an Igbo coup.

We the Igbos of se only agreed to be called igbos recently too. Otherwise before the white men came, we were Ngwa people, Bende people, Nsukka people, Agbenu people, Wawa people etc etc just like you are Anioma people. There has never been (and will never be) a central Igbo ruler. What we have as Igbos is our shared language and culture. Nothing else. A DNA check might reveal that the Aba people are more brotherly to the Akwaibom people than they are to the onitsha people. However, all that dont matter any more. What matters is that in the 21st century, we all speak the same language and share same culture.

Let Anioma state be created and joined with the south east for the following reasons


[1] It will be a predominantly Igbo-speaking state

[2] Even if the people do not consider themselves Igbo, there are more cultural ties that bond them with other states in the south-east geo-political zone than the south south geopolitical zone

3] Aniomans have always been treated as second class Igbos because they were part of the Western Region and Bendel States. If they are made part of the south-east, that will stop.

[4] Let us face it, the Urhobos, Itshekhiris and Ijaws in Delta State outnumber the Aniomas and would not allow them to achieve dominant positions within the state

[5] At the moment, the south-east is the one zone crying out for more states.

[6] There is nothing wrong with states in one zone being on different sides of the River Niger. Remember that Benue State is south of the river, as is Kwara State, yet they are in the north central zone.

[7] According to Cornelius Adebayo, the Yorubas in Kwara and Kogi States want to create Oya State and make it part of the south-west. If this happens, a precedence has been set.

[8] I know a lot of Aniomans have a deep afinity towards Benin and Edo but being part of the south-east does not mean this will end. The Yorubas of Ilorin do not stop celebrating the Oro festival just because they are in the north-central political zone.

[9] A lot of Aniomans have not been able to occupy positions their abilities deserve because they have been victims of not being clear cut members of ethnic groups. For instance Senator Patrick Osakwe of Asaba could not be put forward for senate president, despite the fact that he is probably the most qualified Igbo-speaking senator for the job. Being part of the sout-east will resolve this.

[10] Creating Anioma State and making it part of the south-east, should lead to an increased westward migration of Igbos. This is necessary because of the high population density in the region which is putting pressure on resources, leading to a host of social problems.

What are your thoughts.
Remember the south needs more states to be able to challenge the north in the national assembly and south east particularly need one more state to be able to have an equal voice with other zones in Abuja.

You guys haven't developed the current states in the south east but you need another one. The IGR of Rivers, Delta and Akwa Ibom alone is larger than the IGR of the entire South East.

I don't know who told you guys that the igbos in delta are being mistreated. There's also no tribe called anioma. Anioma is only a territory.

Even if you guys are given biafra, delta isn't breaking up. You can get land from rivers but you can never get any land from delta and edo.

Seems you guys think deltans and edos for fools that will fold arms and allow the two states to breakup because of the overzealous nature of south eastern igbos.
