srclark:Nigeria is bigger than kekenapepe as ambulance. South Africa cannot think of it. Nigeria is giant of Africa and giant in crude oli as well. Keke is tricycle without solid balance. States through internally generated income can provide better option outside keke. Yes I have been to Uganda not once. Kampala and Entebbe enjoys adequate power supplies. Please name two cities in Nigeria that enjoys 72hrs uninterrupted electricity since 10hrs. Lagos state might be richer than Uganda as a country yet no power no road, nothing to show. Ghana cannot discuss kekenapepe in parliament. My village have ambulance donated by Lagos branch for the community hospital. My village cannot accept keke as ambulance gift from the government. What is keke? Habbaaaa!! |

emmie14:we have to start from somewhere don't look at it as ambulance ambulance just look at it as a medium to get to the hospital faster due to our road network and the way naija is now yes we have money but corruption has eaten so deep not everyone has a vehicle and in most part of naija moving around after 12 midnight is a problem but if we have these keke in place and at hand then it will help even if better ambulance is provided it might not get to the masses for their usuage even when it gets to them it is just a period of time it will collaspe cause lack of maintenance we dont have to rush into doing things bit by bit bro many areas in lagos enjoy good electricity when i was actually staying in agbara we used to go weeks without the light blinking this was year 2010 (reason being it is an industrial estate and the distribution of the power was organised and done the way it should be my take on this the electricity is there the problem is the distribution and our peoples non challant attitude stronger laws should be putting in place concerning connection and climbing up poles access to Nepa property you see all sort of people going in and out of the transformers up the poles there should be a stiffer protocols to doing these things.Uganda no get road hence the heavy traffic and millions of bikes like flies perching a carcass you have google kindly find out the volume of power ugand as a whole consumes and also find out what lagos state consumes before we start going into the other states |

srclark:The level of my experience and exposure will not permit to accept keke as am option to modern ambulance. The world is moving fast than keke. You will get to the hospital with snail speed keke, no electricity in case of night, no water, maybe striking staffs because of no payment of salaries and wages. |

emmie14:Ok, it is people like you whose mindset has not been geared to think outside the box, that feel solutions must be dressed up in robes of vanity. I have lost count of the number of injured people and pregnant women in labour, that were rushed to our public hospitals and maternity homes in Keke Napep. Stand in front of any general hospital's emergency ward and see for yourself. ![]() The next time any of your female relatives in the village or rural towns falls into labour, and there are no big vehicles to transport her to a hospital, please tell them to leave her right there, because even if a keke napep is available, the snail speed will not get her to a place where she can be given medical attention. ![]() Nobody expects a keke napep engine to power electricity in a hospital. You are the one that brought up that ridiculous idea all by yourself. You are free to continue dissing tricycle. Those who have benefited from its transport services, or those who badly need any kind of moving vehicle like a keke napep ambulance, to get them to the nearest hospital, know better than to listen to the likes of you. By the way, how many ambulances have you donated to any rural hospital or public health centre, that would enable prospective patients to decline to use a keke napep? ![]() |

srclark:God bless you for thinking outside the box! The same keke napep ambulances that they are looking down upon, is being used in India, China, Malaysia, South Korea and many parts of South East Asia, as well as a few Latin American countries. The same India that Nigerians rush to, in order to get specialised medical treatment, because they have better medical facilities than we do. Many of the people ranting against these keke napep ambulances have not spent any length of time, in a lot of our rural areas where there are bad roads or even no roads, sef. In many rural communities, motorbikes are the only means of transportation. In a few cases, cars or small vehicles would get stuck due to the bad roads, and only motorbikes, tricycles and 4-wheel drives can navigate such terrain. I have seen sick & people being carried on the back of other individuals, and rushed to hospital for medical treatment because there were no vehicles to carry them there. If they had access to keke napep ambulances, would their transportation problem not be reduced? |

LaudableXX:Brother I don't think I have any business with you. I pay my taxes in this lame country. The government aren't doing anything. Nothing is working including life. I am actually looking beyond hospitals keke and related facilities on grounds that are less useful. "e go better" have overtaken Nigerians sense of judgment. Kekenapepe is a public nuisance . Nigeria is 58years old endowed with crude oil in reasonable quality. Nigeria is not poor. Look at akwa ibom stadium built by one state but Nigeria as a nation hv no working national stadium. Tomorrow you will introduce kekenapepe kind of stadium. Travel oga and stop supporting evil people in government if you're not part of the government. |

LaudableXX:we have experienced a lot of governors and office holders that did not think in this direction but now we have seen a very prudent and smart governor utilising the state funds in a prudent way how many proper ambulances will be bought to serve a state properly to acquire a proper ambulances we are looking at 5m and for a state we will need more than 100 ,we have other pressing needs the idea to me is highly welcome .nobody will want to convert a keke ambulance for personal use ( in the past our officials have converted a lot of government property for personal use ) even the developed could tries use all these mediums |

emmie14:Unlike you, I am well travelled and have lived & studied in different countries. Any good govt looks at the best way to provide the right facilities for its citizens, at the most affordable cost. You cannot be earning peanuts, and decide you want to live like an emperor. You will just send yourself and your citizens into penury. ![]() The same Keke napep you are busy condemning, is being used by NYPD (New York Police Dept) in America, to patrol its streets & control crowds at malls and other busy places. It is called an interceptor, over there. The same China that is a super power today, still uses Keke napep in its rural areas for prompt evacuation of wounded people and sick patients, to areas where they can be treated. They have improvised, using the little they have to get medical care, to as many as possible. Yet, you still look down with disdain, on such interventions. Which facility or ambulance have you provided to help people in your own community? Tell us. Abeg, don't quote me again until you have something sensible and constructive to say. Thank you... |
