There is little or nothing any successive government in Nigeria could do or has done against coordinated and politically motivated massacres. One of the things I learnt from my SUG while in school; getting the attention of the Nigerian government to act cannot be achieved via unorganised protests. Our schools will go on strike for several months and the government will be spectating us like footballer players. This did not change until boys moved it to the next level by blocking the major entrance to the cities and barricading state secretariats, only then did we have a platform to bargain for. Protests are good but for it to yield that effect we yearn for, let's take better steps, block major places like the entrance to the national assembly or the Abuja airport, prevent them from flying abroad for summer or going for useless E N T treatments. #Endsars |
