slimghost:Another extremely deluded, brain dead gorilla descendant who lacks critical thinking skills! You're the imbec1le if you think an "unbiased" election observer will claim ONLY a particular party enticed voters with money when, in fact, the two parties enticed voters with cash! |

Iamgrey5:it is not only in ekiti state that coalition of observers do testify in the court of law, so testifying in the tribunal isn't the first time. just be patient ok. judiciary is the one that will determine the outcome of the election. |

ericsmith:This reminds me of election petitions. PDP file and APC will cross petition in areas where PDP have very high votes. Judges will read front-loaded papers and will say idiots, next. |

activistjohnny:The judiciary will not determine the outcome of the elections The judiciary will only determine if they were irregularities in the election as alleged by the plaintiff (PDP in this case) before giving their final verdict. The judiciary will respect the will of the people in Ekiti state. Finally. I am patient, I only made an observation about the unprofessional nature of the needless press release. |

an un-biased mind that monitored this ekiti election 'll no doubt confirm that it was rigged in favour of apc. the powers at the centre, just want to capture ekiti state, at all cost. that explains the absolute intimidation they unleashed on the state, before and during the elections. even though pdp is not the best as a party, yet the people's wish ought to be upheld. its not good to support evil, based on clanish & party affiliations, and still expect goodness.the pdp candidate should head to the law courts, with the overwhelming evidences, to re-claim his mandate. if nigerians keep quite over this sham of election, that's how bubu 'll rig the 2019 elections, through federal might. |

BabaO2:Did you hear yourself? Fayose was rigged in so that justifies this drama. When will the cycle of evil stop? When shall we becomes sensible in this country and reason like humans. Someone robbed you so you robbed him back belong to the stone ages. This is even more annoying as it is happening under the banner of "change" what has changed? all we see is a new set of crooks and criminals more ferocious taking over from the old. This change is just a change of guards. |

[I don't support party but you lied. This is one is worse. Fayemi was at least respected not maltreated. Give me your facts and I will believe you quote author=BabaO2 post=69413687]Yorubas are not this pathetic and coward, Fayose should just pack and go rather than crying like a baby, election process that ushered him was unimaginably worse than this[/quote] |

slimghost:The only slowpoke here is you. Now, tell me, how do you know from the article that this so-called coalition observers are independent and not a bunch of paid PDP loyalists? You'd be naive to believe they are international election observers. |

IMPORTANT QUESTIONS 1.What power does election observers have in the constitution? Is it To cancel elections or to swear in eleka? 2. Why cant fayose and eleka take the evidencies of these observers to the tribunal and spare us these daily dramas ? 3. Is it only APC that shared money? Dont these guys know that APC also have video recordings of PDP sharing money? 4. How can PDP expect to win an election with 8 months arrears of salaries and with the authoritarian style of government adopted by Fayose? Fayose chased away Adeyeye ( The so called paper politician) who in turn gave Fayemi 4500 block votes in his local government. Please Note: These people are jesters .Fayemi has promised to pay up arrears of salaries in 6 months and the people are jubilating in Ekiti. I am only waiting for the Part 2 of the drama to be titled "How Fayose escaped Via Seme Border ". ![]() |

Those that make up the coalition do not have names? No objective and true observer will release a report like this , directly attacking a particular party. This is an arranger observer, if not let them mention their individual group names. |

I have always known this matter would not flow past like a peaceful stream of river... INEC as the constitutionally authorized body had return Fayemi as governor of Ekiti... Whether this result would be contested is a matter for the loser and the courts... However, prospecting into the intricacies of the Ekiti political stage; many lessons can be drawn 1. I think the whole issue boils down to vengeance: Fayemi felt it's time to payback Fayose in his own coin 2. Buhari, being who he is, must have waited all these while for this time to wield his sledge hammer 3. Fayose on his part has offended many (including Ekiti erstwhile PDP members like Adeyeye et.all), who may have felt shortchanged with the ' imposition' of Eleka as party's flag bearer... Their calculations would be that if they joined Fayemi who has just one more term of 4 years to govern Ekiti, brighter would their chances be to mount the saddle then aft, than to trail after Eleka who may likely run a 2 term of 8 years. For me, the moral of the story is: the political class in Nigeria has yet to truly start considering altruistic governance! It's still all about "my interests". It becomes even worse when the mandate is viewed as an effective tool to settle individual scores... Truth be told, until this culture of Vengefulness is abandoned, we've got a very looooong way to go.... |

| Re: Ekiti Election: Coalition Of Observers Reject Results, To Release Findings by djon78(m): 11:01am On Jul 16, 2018 |
Iamgrey5:We have many of prior cases where people got their mandate back by courts; Peter Obi from Ngige in Anambra Adams Oshiomole in Edo Mimiko in Ondo And even this Fayemi in his first tenure Even buhari fought for many of his past elections in court My own submission is if they have sound evidence they should take it to court and fight for it. The judiciary can then decide the case |
