Three construction contractors died and went to heaven - an hausa man, a yoruba, and an Igbo man. When they got there St. Peter welcomed them warmly and asked if they could do him a favor before they entered heaven. It seems that the gates of heaven were in need of some repair, and he wanted some estimates.

The hausa man looked the job over carefully and estimated the job at 100 000 naira. When asked how he came up with that figure, he said, " materials 20,000, 20,000 naira labor, and 60,000 naira profit."

St. Peter then asked the yoruba contractor for an estimate. After careful inspection the Jew answered, "200,000 naira - 80,000 materials, 70,000 naira labor, and 50,000 naira profit."

When St. Peter ask the Igbo for an estimate, he answered immediately without looking over the job at all - 300,000 naira. Asked how he came up with that figure he answered, "Simple, 100,000naira for you, 100,000naira for me, and 100,000 for the hausa man to do the job .
