A) in China, the money is YUAN not "yen"... you are mistaking it for Japanese money
B) 3k Yen (Japan) is less than 10$, and i am safe to say that you wont find any "proper/legal" restaurant in the west selling eba/egusi for less than that. remember, in most of these places, african food is EXPORTED items thus costing much more than in Africa.
C) 3k Yuan (China) is over 400$, which i doubt you will find any african food costing that much (unless in your wild dreams).
D) in the west, there is something called HEALTH AND SAFETY regulations, which is about the hygiene of your establishment, how you should store food, at what temperature, where/how clean your place is and how clean your place should be. failure to comply will have your place closed.
E) in the west, to operate a restaurant you need a LICENSE, and sadly, many Africans operate restaurants in their garage or living room.

Quite pathetic. Those of us working in Huawei Technologies can tell you from the Nigeria angle. Chinese are leaches on this country. We would have been better off with European and US companies here. They are enslavers with different methods. I just hope we vote in a government that would check their activities. Chinese are devils in Nigeria's economy.

It is not easy as you put. I blamed the Nigerian government for not checking on them via the Ministry of Labour/ NLC/TUC etc to know what's going on in here. We have good labour laws that remained paralysed by government agencies who comes to these Chinese to take money and act as though all is well with Nigerians working here.

The reason why many of us are still here is because we are married and the bills are huge. Therefore to take such risk of not doing the work is like playing at the cliff edge.

i know how difficult it must be but you cant bite the hand that feeds you, and you either accept it or you do something about it (other than complaining while accepting your salary with a smile, at the end of the month).

my point is based on the fact that i could NEVER blame the hand that feeds me (and my family) for giving me a job. many foreign companies go to Nigeria because the labor market is very "flexible" and financially cheaper to run a biz, but most importantly, skilled/unskilled workforce is VERY CHEAP.
You made sense in a way, while you veered off at another. My advice is that, if you knew more, then answer your question by yourself objectively.
I won't engage you any further as you don't deserve my attention anymore.

obviously, if you stick to working for these foreigners, it means they are offering something better than what the Nigerian employers are offering, if they werent you wouldnt still be there. so in this harsh economic time, i will ask you to count your blessings, politely ask you to shut the fukc up (excuse my french) and ask you to make sure you do everything in your power to keep your job (as you are better than most)
