The construction work on the Baro port in Nigeria is at 98% complete. Ibrahim ShuaibuVulegbo, the Technical Officer in charge of the port has announced. Already, the dredging work from Baro to Lokoja has been completed. According to Ibrahim ShuaibuVulegbo, the port project now requires installation of the cranes and perimeter fencing.

The port is the anchor of North West, North Central transportation and the port is linked to railway where cargo can be moved.

Baro Inland water port is an inland water port regarded as the first settlement of the Governor General of Nigeria, Lord Lugard. It is frequently visited by tourist who wants to explore the history of colonial nigeria.

The economic reformation of Arewa, and Nigeria by extension, is on course.

Ibos, Yorubas, Efiks, Hausas, Ibibio etc. will benefit from this port directly and indirectly through jobs and trade so stop hating.

Lol these same people will start shouting Jonathan started this project when its Commissioned in August. Anyway there's still two more river ports that will need to be completed and concessioned after Onitsha and Baro. The one in Imo and the other in Kogi.
