SENATOR Dino Melaye (Kogi West) has been abducted and his whereabout is currently unknown.

This is coming barely two days after Mr Melaye dumped the ruling All Progressive Congress (APC), for the opposition Peoples Democratic Party, (PDP).

The Kogi lawmaker’s abduction was made known by his colleague, Senator Benedict Murray-Bruce, who represents Bayelsa East at the Senate.

Mr Murray-Bruce, made this known after been notified of the development by Moses Melaye, the brother of the abducted lawmaker.

The Kogi lawmaker was said to be abducted while on his way to his native state to attend his court case.

“I have just been informed by Moses Melaye, @dino_melaye’s brother, that Dino has been abducted by unknown persons in a Toyota Sienna that blocked their car and overpowered them on their way to Kogi to answer to Dino’s court case. Lets be on the watch out. Will keep you updated,” the lawmaker tweeted on Thursday.
