Jumia claims to have hidden their best selling items in odd categories on their sites with a 99% discount.
Eg: an iPhone X going for #3500 hidden in the Televisions category.

After searching for several hours to no avail. I closed the jumia app to reopen it an hour or two later and boom! the item is there but there's a twist, it was already sold out. This happened to me during the washing machine & iPhone search.

So I took to Facebook and Twitter to see the reactions of other users and I wasn't pleased as 90% believe it's a scam.
So what do you think is, scam or not?

I had to scroll ND scroll ND scroll and DOZED off. How can someone scroll down up to 50000 items in search one iPhone or washing machine. I had to filter, still no avail! I don delete the app. This thing requires time

But i'm kind of believing the thing is scam.

They asked us to check for PC in men's shoe section between 10AM to 12PM. Its almost 1 already, nothing's up.

The same thing happened for yesterday's PS4.

I'm actually using a system to check. Is the product restricted to their app alone?

It is better to use the app.

Also, you can only use category to filter, othes will not work for such promo.

There's nothing related to the treasure in that price range and that section.


Plus, the only one i have seen so far which is about or days ago(The Iphone), i actually saw it in a browser with the price filter, and its sold out already.
