So I was arguing with one guy yesterday on how a president can sanitize the National Assembly of corrupt politicians and he said the president need to act fast to carry out a mop up before they impeach him.

Since the law makers needs to accuse the president of a crime say treason, bribery, etc before they can carry on with their plan and the Chief Justice need to preside over the impeachment proceedings to find evidence of the allegations , Now assuming the president committed no crime but was coming for their head because of their past transgression and perhaps they sensed danger and the only way for them to escape retribution for their injustice was impeach their enemy.

Is this act possible?

When you see someone refer to his own abode as a shithole then it goes without saying such a person has no value to his home or community.

In a sane country where democracy is practised as it should be, no.

But this is Nigeria. What we are practicing isn't democracy. It's dem-all-crazy.

It's easy for the senators to find loop holes in governance and in the law with which to impeach the President.

By now as a Nigerian you should know that anything is possible as far as this lawmakers are concerned.

Do you think the senators won't accuse the president of intimidating the legislative arm of government and use that as an excuse to try and impeach him on the grounds of treasonable felony?

How many of these senators do you really think are bright and brilliant?

We just read today that senator Adeleke doesn't even have WASSCE result.

Do you know how many of them have used forged certificates?

Are those the same people you think will exercise rational thoughts if they are facing the threat of imprisonment?

I mean, just look at Dino Melaye. Kidnapping himself just to avoid appearing in court.

So yes the kilobyte sense in the skulls of our lawmakers will make them desperate enough to want to impeach a PRESIDENT who has committed no impeachable offence.

Buhari has committed so many impeachable offences.

No. But in a saner clime, PMB wouldn't have stayed up to a year in office with all the numerous impeachable offenses he's committed

Impeachment is actually a political triai, so technically yes, the only saving grace is that the Chief Judge will have to determine if the accusations against the president are valid enough to warrant an impeachment process. It will be quite cumbersome.
