Good day everyone, this is my first post on Car talk section and I believe I'll get the best advice here from car experts. I'm getting a car for my dad, his not old still in his early 50's but his thinking old this days he insisted he wants the benz c240 with manual transmission, I love Benz. It's my favorite car, I call Benz the iPhone of cars but this model is too old. C240 2005 is old in my opinion, the technology of this car is obsolete, and in just 2 years from now its value will drop greatly further. I don't like the look of the car to start with, I told him Benz is cool only if you have 4m to spend. Just because you love iPhone but don't have 200k to spend doesn't mean you should buy a used iPhone 5 and think you will get the best of it in 2018. I don't really know much about cars honestly, but the little I know tells me this is a bad choice.
I suggested I buy Toyota camry 2008-2011, or Avalon 2007 - 2008 or Honda accord 2011. Honestly advise me on the way to go guys, thank you.

What that 2004 C-class has is not the mate of camry, though the Avalon will be close in luxury, the accord sef may not come close

C-class- Luxurious compact vehicle

every car has faults!just make sure the person you are giving it to will be able to maintain it,that's all.
Besides,your dad made a very good choice,but I'll vouch for the 2005 c230k,fast,reliable,economical and has good handling at high speeds.
Use to own one,so i know what i am saying

most people vouch for the facelift 05-07 I think. the manual gear would be good but I am guessing the manual would be a RHD vehicle converted to LHD I am not too sure though. It's a reliable vehicle read through this thread of someone in similar case as yours
