The arrival of Cristiano Ronaldo, could be the splinter that rekindles the Italian football. The Italian league which looked almost dead and buried with the departure of Zaltan Ibrahimovic, have recently become an attraction hub for high profile players again with the arrival of Ronaldo. The Portuguese international recently joined Seria A champions Juventus in an £88 million pounds deal from reigning continental champions Real Madrid.

The Seria A seems to have started reaping the fruits of his arrival, with match tickets rising by a huge 60%. This is believed to be the desire from football lovers to have glimpse of the one of the greatest players to grace the game, particularly after his master-class brace against new club Juventus last season.

While Turin based outfit, aims to use the player achieve their domestic and continental goals, other clubs are keen on seeing the player in the flesh, with Tuttosport reporting Parma as one of the key clubs.

The minnow team seems back in business after declaring bankruptcy in 2015. The average cost of a ticket for Parma is £22.5 but the arrival of Ronaldo with Juventus is believed to have over flogged the fee to a staggering £400. This goes to show the financial implication of the arrival of Portuguese to the league.

The league no doubt have failed to attract foreign investors in the past, but the trend is likely to change due to the Portuguese arrival. Ronaldo is not just a name on the field, but also off the field as he possesses huge number of deals with advertisement companies. The Portuguese arrival could possibly drag a host of investor to the league and this will in turn bring about development in the league.

Ronaldo’s arrival will certainly improve the quality of players in the league, especially in the area of summer transfer to overseas club. The league which is lagging behind in the financial inflow when compared to other league will is expected to reap the fruit of his arrival.

The transfer despite been criticized by several names in the country with Napoli president Aurelio de Laurentis dominating the list, Ronaldo remains a crucial factor that revive the Italian league.

The Italian Serie A has always been a top league. They were the best league in the world between the 80's till early 2000s, spending money the EPL could only dream of. Retired and wasted Serie A players like Zola, Veron, Di Canio, Klinsmann, Stam moved to England to see out their careers. Now its the turn of the La Liga to stay top.

Soon, the English Premier League or the French Ligue 1 will be on top and people will note how a certain transfer caused it.

Its just how football is.
He must be a new gen fan
As at the time ibrahimovic left milan, players like cavani, hamsik and pirlo were still starring in serie a.
To them everything begins and ends in the epl or la liga
I'm not so hot about cr7 move
Serie a is a cut throat league

The Serie A is dead league. The league had died since the mid '90s. Today Serie A is nothing more than a retirement league for top players. The only top players who want to play there are folks at the last legs of their careers who can't get a team in EPL or La Liga.

As per Cristiano Ronaldo. Truth be told, Cristiano is playing for the Juventus because Real Madrid and Manchester United (and even PSG) don't want him.

Died since mid 90's I think you are just watching football
How come the epl didn't come close to serie A even at that time?

Football has always been between serie A and Laliga

CR7 only won the only world player for epl in history of football

CR7 is the real GOAT any day any time. Forget Messi, make he leave Barca make we see.

Why do I somehow have a gut feeling that CR7 will be average in Juve? He might not live up to the hype.
