I would like to be a Lecturer at any higher institution (college of education, polytechnic or university either public or private) How do I go about it and is there any private university recruiting. Please help a Nairalander

What if someone has just first degree certificate, can't one start from assistant lecturing even if it is college of edu or polytechnic?

Yeah you can start with a college of education and polytechnic

Maybe, am in the university system, so I only knows how it works here.

You are good to go. Watch out for any university or polytechnic adverts on employing more lecturers. Or rather, apply to your department in case they needed more staffs for accreditation purposes or the likes

You can start a PhD program. In some universities you need to be enrolled into a PhD program before you can get a teaching position.

You can go have a chat with the HOD, Dean, VC of any university you want to work.

With msc u can only apply for an assistant lecturership position n evidence of/progress in your PhD studies will enhance your chances of getting a job.

Attend conferences in your field and present papers

Publish your msc research in Journals with impact factor esp Thomson Reuters
