That is a fat lie Mr. Falana. There is a proviso in that section of the constitution: 68 (1) (g) "being a person whose election to the House was sponsored by a political party, he becomes a member of another political party before the expiration of the period for which that
House was elected; Provided that his membership of the latter political party is not as a result of a division in the political party of which he was previously a member or of a merger of two or more political parties or factions by one of which he was previously sponsored; or..."

There was first an R-APC, so thus justifying a split and the defection later. Just like nPDP gave leeway to this special class of political prostitutes in the past. Let our utterances be guided by TRUTH.

Come to think of it, you mean during the Holy democratic regime of the PDP, the security details of the speaker were withdrawn because he defected to the opposition, I can see that this govt is even too soft on the present decampees. Again, the argument on you referred link is on the legality of the then PDP led federal government in sacking Tambuwal as the speaker, it was clearly argued that it's only the court or two -third majority of the members of the house that can remove him.
