Cost of Engine replacement is outrageous, tiny light (Camry 1991 model Engine is 160k in Abuja while Golf 3 1991 model cost far less)

Fuel consumption; Golf 3 still rate high

Commercial use (Kabu-Kabu) don't dare use Camry otherwise bid your car goodbye while Golf is the main car for Kabu-Kabu in the north

You are right. People should stop insulting the king (Mercedes). It comes tops in all depts...there's no basis for comparison anyway 'cos Mercedes is in a class of its own. If you have ever driven the 2 cars you'll know that Camry (or any other Toyota) feels like toys compared with the rock-solid Benz

Not realy, they are not all luxery , Merc and BMW and Audi produce non lux versions of models, ie the VW Golf, or the merc A class, or the BMW E series.

Apart from the hype of the German engineering touch which is only useful for bragging rights, officially, No Mercedes model can even come close to the CAMRY's reviews globally. And besides, Mercedes is the last of the German 3(1st-Volkswagon(VW,AUdi,Porsche), 2nd-BMW and lastly Benz).

Im sorry to say from what you just wrote, you have no clue of what the Auto Industry is all about. All those fancy Tech being displayed in todays Jap cars had been done like 10 years ago in the European cars. The Germans ar top when it comes to gear Box and transfer case. The Mercedes where the 1st to use fibre as their prop shaft. I can go on and on in technical but I am afraid you wont appreciate it.name one Camry with 100% fibre body. I know of the lightweight xteristics of Carbon-fibre, despite that, is the resultant weight lighter than the Camry?

As we speak the best Gear box and transfer case is the one we find in Jaguar/Rage rovers, who built it again? the Germans
