Governor Rochas Okorocha of Imo State has said that only the elite are ganging up against President Muhammadu Buhari.

Okorocha, who spoke at a meeting of South-East APC Women and Youth leaders for Buhari, at the government house, Owerri, said the president still enjoys the support of the masses who are “solidly behind him”.

He said the elite in the nation’s politics were not comfortable with Buhari’s anti-corruption stand and the fact that the president was poised to rescue the poor masses from being emasculated by them.

While stating that there is a selfish and calculated elitist conspiracy against the president, he said Ndigbo have every reason to support the president’s second term aspiration in 2019.

The governor, who said President Buhari believed in the masses, added that the president also believed that the wealth of the nation must be managed so that the masses could benefit from it.

He asked Nigerians to rise and support President Buhari because “he has done well and stands by the truth and does not believe in the primitive accumulation of wealth.”

Speak for yourself bro. The majority of Nigerians still firmly support him and will be returned again. Just give it time and you will see for yourself.

However having said that I also need to state that his popularity has waned due to the way he has handled some issues.

It is obvious that the opposition are firmly behind some of the killings in certain areas but his inability to bring the culprits to book despite having the laws, power and all the security agency to himself is p*ss poor.

Lai Mohammed was days ago saying the opposition are behind the killings, yes we know this but what has their regime done to deal with the wicked killers is the real question.

if only buhari has any brains , he should and would know that people like orji kalu , rochas and co are the ones who will destroy him . their statements does not portray the true reflections of the people feelings but they know how much buhari loves hearing moonlight tales of how strong he is , therefore they keep making him feel as if all is alright

Trust me, I speak the minds of the majority of Nigerians and odds are against his re-election. That aside, do you mean Buhari is a liar or he was foolish when you said ''opposition'' are behind the killings? Buhari actually said Gadaffi's men are the perpetrators! Recall, Buhari's minister of defence also alleged that the farmers have blocked the grazing routes of the fulani herdsmen and that's why they are killing peopole & taking over people's lands? So where did you get your own story about the opposition being behind fulani herdsmen killings when Buhari told Benue people to ''accomodate their neighbours''?

Stop talking without facts . You do not know who is responsible for the killings neither does the FG ; we are all speculating . And speculation is the thing misleading our country on a daily basis .
