NASS Siege: Nigerians Praise Acting President Osinbajo For Upholding Democracy

Nigerians have continued to react to the sack of the Director-General of the Department of State Service (DSS), Lawal Daura, by Acting President Yemi Osinbajo (SAN) on Tuesday.

This comes after the DSS and men of the Nigerian Police Force had laid siege on the National Assembly on Tuesday, even as the Senate leadership had scheduled a meeting to hold in the chambers in the afternoon. Lawmakers who came with the hope of attending the meeting were denied entry into the Assembly by the security operatives.

In a social media storm that followed, Nigerians heaved a sigh of relief as the Acting President took swift action.
In a statement by Mr. Laolu Akande, spokesperson to the Acting President, he described the NASS siege as “a gross violation of constitutional order, rule of law and all acceptable notions of law and order.”

According to him, the unlawful act which was done without the knowledge of the Presidency is condemnable and completely unacceptable.

Lawal Daura was only made a sacrificial lamb just to save their face.

Osibanjo can not say he is not aware of the plans by APC/DSS to impeached saraki when all the media houses are already aware.

1. Why did osibanjo have to wait till 12 noon before sacking daura,

2. why did Osibanjo did not order the DSS to leave the assembly immediatly as at 6.30 am when pictures where everywhere of how the DSS has blocked entrance to NASS.

3. It was only when the APC coup plotters could not come to NASS because of the tense situation having sense that the coup have failed, then Osibanjo quickly sack Daura just to save the face of the presidency.

4. Daura will surely be compensated later, forget about the fake sack

Every one knows the master mind behind this plot is SARAKI .

Nothing to be appreciative about.Lawal Daura excesses or impunity started since the inception of this regime.Remember how DSS official broke into judges houses @ midnight including supreme court judges damaging their property in a brazzen display of brigandage

Even if saraki was to be impeached, what good has he done for us even as a Senate president...remember his family owned the Savannah Bank that recked most pensioners in this country so people should stop defending him please. Don't let's take sides with the devil..he deserves to be impeached.
