Hmmm, am not trying to and do not intend to lecture you. Ok, don't know any of them but I would love to hear them spit out of curiosity.
Since we both love rap, don't you think if a phrase can have more than one meaning or explanation then it can be termed word play, IMO though.

Yea,a word/phrase that has more than one meaning can be played with.

like the same falz said in a track he featured simi "you dey draw me,you be fine artist" he meant simi was drawing him close to her and in other words, artists are known to draw images.

another line in the track "make we go slow like we jam traffic" . he was asking simi not to rush things in the relationship and in other words, 'go slow' in nigeria means being delayed in heavy road traffic.

So, falz wasn't actually tryna make wordplay outta that "this is Nigeria,everybody be criminal" line.

What he failed to understand is that vulgar doesnt only meant something explicit. It also means "lacking sophistication and good taste". Saying everybody be criminal is not in good taste.

It's called being tongue-in-cheek; and no, it is not a terrible way of passing a message. But if social media has taught me anything, it is that the use of figurative devices like irony, sarcasm, tongue-in-cheek comments generally fly over the heads of Nigerians.
