Three young men, who acted as fronts and agents of distribution to a covert drug peddling syndicate, have been arrested by men of the Ogun State Police Command. The suspects ran into police ambush at Ijebu-Itele axis of the Benin/Shagamu Expressway in the early hours of Wednesday, August 8, 2018. It was gathered that the interception of the Indian Hemp-laden truck was sequel to an intelligent report received by the Command to the effect that the suspects lived on running illegal errands of transporting and delivery of such hard drugs as Nicotine, Indian Hemp as well as dangerous weapons from Delta State, enroute Ogun, to Lagos State. According to the state Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO) DSP Abimbola Oyeyemi, who in a press statement made available to this medium, "On the strength of the report, the Ogun State Commissioner of Police, CP Ahmed Iliyasu, directed the Officer-In-Charge Federal Special Anti-Robbery Squad (FSARS), Abeokuta, SP Uba Adams, to go after the suspects. "In compliance with the CP’s directive, the operatives of the FSARS embarked on a technical-based investigation and profiling of the suspects, which enabled them to intercept them in a truck with registration number KPP 339 XD. On searching the vehicle, 40 bags of weeds suspected to be marijuana was recovered and the suspects were promptly arrested. The suspects are Frank Osai ‘m’39yrs, Elvis Okuse ‘m’ 25yrs and Kelvin Ogagaoghene ‘m’ 24yrs", the PPRO said. Crimepuzzle's investigation further revealed that, on the floor of the intercepted Mercedes Benz 81314 truck, were crates of different brands of beer, a ploy to beat the operatives of the actual consignment of bags of Indian Hemp that were carefully and neatly concealed in a specially built compartment on the roof. But for the diligence of the eagle-eyed ASP Ayodele Gbenga-led FSARS team of operatives, the hard drug was discovered. Oyeyemi stated that, "On interrogation, the suspects confessed that the weeds were meant to be delivered to a customer, who they simply identified as Emeka in Mile 2 area of Lagos. Meanwhile, the Commissioner of Police CP Ahmed Iliyasu has ordered a full scale investigation on the activities of the arrested suspects as well as their sponsors. Why were they arrested? I still don't know why Indian Hemp has not been declassified as a Class A Drug. I don't smoke. So my write up here is for the purpose of knowing why Indian Hemp is looked at as something bad. I challenge even those in the medical field to point out one harmful effect of Indian hemp. But there are hundreds of proven medical usages for it, like Epilepsy and others too numerous to mention here. Most States in the U.S like California and Colorado even sell them as medical marijuana. I blame Harry Anslinger for this rubbish he caused. If he had not racially profiled the Marijuana as something that makes people go crazy, to spite Mexicans and then sold the idea to the U.S Congress who now outlawed it,which other countries now copied. The Marijuana could have been gotten like Cigarettes. 90 Likes 8 Shares |

Transporting Indian hemp is not a crime. By the way, it is now smoked openly at Obalende and soldiers and police are major customers. Foolish police. 7 Likes |

can we ban cigarettes as well? cos cigs is equally as damaging as weed ,while weed still has some medical use... weed distribution should be regulated not criminalized 4 Likes |

People claim marijuana is bad, but Alcohol is good. I don't take either of them, but I don't see the reason why both shift one's balance yet one is tagged bad and the other is tagged okay. Africans don't research, they just follow suit. Very dumb race. If someone comes up with a stupid theory, that left hand is bad, everyone will just stupidly follow. Like if I gave them a rope in a drowning river with my left hand, they wouldn't catch. Or give them a million dollars with my left hand, they'll refuse it. Why can't we as Africans ask questions, to show people the flaws in their reasoning? That was how one man many years ago said watching or possession of a TV is bad, and his stupid followers without reasoning just followed. Some even threw their TVs in wells. Saying it was the devils creation to mislead mankind. Today the mofo broadcasts with the same TV. I Wonder how bad became good over time. I feel bad for our daft way of reasoning. 13 Likes 1 Share |

And these fools still want to deprive us of this gift nature has blessed us with. Weed heals the soul. If you don't like it, leave it for those (like me) who do 4 Likes 1 Share |

HungerBAD: A law is a law. The motion may be morally right, medically right, mentally right, but legally wrong. That's what makes it a law. Regardless of who invented and introduced it. It is a law means it is generally accepted by the governing bodies of a particular place. Until you make your invectives accepted by governing authorities to become a law, it remains just an individual's opinion. Hence, it is unwise to seek unnecessary proofs. 2 Likes |
