was pondering about this topic this morning, if really the will of God will be done in our lives, why then do we bother ourselves praying, fasting and sowing of seed?

Have you heard of a Hebrew king called Hezekiah?

Simply put it, if God has a plan what's the point of praying.

Prayer is just a theory created by some conmen years back that's being used to psychologically play with the brain of gullible Christians like you.

Keep praying staying at home all night eating mama thank you while dream chasers out there are making it big, confirming payments and clearing mtcn every fuuking day.

I'd advise you to denounce that religion of yours right now and wipe off your pastors phone number(s) from your phone and do something profitable with your life..

Prayers only limit your ability to make it in life giving you the false intention that God is gonna take care of all your worries.

What will be will be, if prayers is a yardstick to determine to success our Nigerian prayer warriors will be topping Forbes list of most influential people in the world.

Alaye double your hustle, no time for God bless me and my family and shit, help yourself by yourself.

His will should favor all those prayer warriors that can't even afford good wears first.

You are very sick upstairs.

Yes. Eli made the mistake of not praying about his son's impending doom.... You know how it ended for them

In those days was Hezekiah sick unto death. And Isaiah the prophet the son of Amoz came unto him, and said unto him, Thus saith the Lord, Set thine house in order: for thou shalt die, and not live.
*** Then Hezekiah turned his face toward the wall, and prayed unto the Lord.
**And said, Remember now, O Lord , I beseech thee, how I have walked before thee in truth and with a perfect heart, and have done that which is good in thy sight. And Hezekiah wept sore.

** Then came the word of the Lord to Isaiah, saying,

Go, and say to Hezekiah, Thus saith the Lord , the God of David thy father, I have heard thy prayer, I have seen thy tears: behold, I will add unto thy days fifteen years.

***And I will deliver thee and this city out of the hand of the king of Assyria: and I will defend this city. Isaiah: 38 vs 1-6

My brother, God is Merciful. He heareth us whenever we call on him.
He can change His mind for good concerning u.
The Will of the Lord for Good shall be fulfilled in ourselves, Amen.
Morning and Happy Sunday.

Why do you we need to ask our parent for stuff we need.

When we they can actually see that we need it even while under their roof.

Imagine your parent having 30 kids. Having it in mind that what dad says most of the time is finally.

Although mum can still petition for you once in awhile. If you dont ask dad for what you need ,dont expect him to think it for you all the time.

Yea some times he can decide to surprise you. Yea he can just remember that child 5 out of 30 and get him that particular thing he needs but remember that that child 5 would have done something that made dad remember him.

Comunication is very important in Life

So yes God wills will be Done but with Communication (Prayer) your request can be considered. Remember He also sees the End from the Beginning. His plans for us is of Good...

Commune with GOD not with Man

The will of God is unknown and has not yet manifested, so we assume it is continuously changing and can still be inputed with our needs to favour us. Or maybe all of us are just being domesticated with this God thingy

bro, you sound more like an atheist. but even as an atheist there must be a "force" you consciously or unconsciously anchor your faith to especially when you're bothered. think about this bro

was pondering about this topic this morning, if really the will of God will be done in our lives, why then do we bother ourselves praying, fasting and sowing of seed?

Simply put brother:
Because it's not ultimately about YOU.
It's about the God (of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob) and what HE has already accomplished through His plan of Salvation (coming to this Earth, showing the world how to live a holy life through Him, dying on the cross as a penalty for our sins, and resurrecting from death).
So what Christ did was reconcile a "lost" world to Himself...through His death and ultimate resurrection.
I stress this a lot, but it's about a relationship with Him.
We don't just pray to God in order to "get something" from Him. He's not a cosmic "Santa Claus". He's not an ATM where you put the exact dollar or naira amount (and expect) that "amount" to come out.
However, you pray, fast, study your Bible in order to get closer to/know the One whom you have entered into a relationship with. Those above mentioned things are crucial to maintaining a relationship with Him.
It doesn't necessarily mean that the person is gonna do everything you want...but it means that as you get to know the person, you will begin to love and sincerely appreciate the person.
Dealing with God is likened to a relationship...except He is your Creator...and knows what's ultimately best for you. As you spend more time with Him, you begin to love Him more, trust Him more, and gradually your heart changes from being stubborn to accepting whatever plans He has willed for your life.

In some cases, fervent prayers may change a situation. In the illustration about King Hezekiah, that was what God deemed necessary for him at that particular time.
We cannot know why God chose to honor King Hezekiah's prayer and prolong his life.
Who knows what God may have been trying to do individually in King Hezekiah's life.
Yes, God is merciful...but we have to be careful about saying that praying fervently will always change the direction of God's will in our lives.
Cause that is not always the case.
We should always pray, "Thine Will be done".

And all things, whatsoever ye shall ask in prayer, believing, ye shall receive. Matthew 21 vs 22

Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you: Matthew 7 vs 7

"But Let him ask in faith"

In our Lord's Prayer, there is a Declaration of The Will before Prayers to earn God's Will.
"Thy Will be done on earth as in Heaven"-Declaration before,
"Give us our Daily Bread-Prayer. Lead us not into Temptation-Prayer. Deliver from Evil-also Prayer".

The Will of God is reference to God's Law. It holds whether or not you believe in God, whether or not you obey God, and whether or not the world ends or not. God's Law aka Will is everlasting--- it never changes. undecided

You pray because you wish to access the benefits of God's Law. However, since God's Law stipulates that only the righteous get their prayers answered by God. This means that no matter how hard you pray, beg or plead to God's Will, which is that only the righteous of God will receive answers directly from God, will be done. undecided

And God's law is to do to others as you would have them do unto you.

The will of God is on its own while you are on your own so the reason why you need to know God's will is for you to make yourself available to participate in doing the will of God because whether you choose to participate or not God's will must be done with or without you.

Those partaking in doing God's will will gain His approval to live forever while those that aren't partaking will continue to disturb those doing it that's why God will destroy them even though they may think they're better than some of those partaking in doing God's will.

To illustrate, imagine a landlord who builds a gigantic mansion and brought tenants into his house, there's no way any tenant can gain the approval of the landlord to continue living there if they don't know how the landlord wants his house to be cared for that's why each tenant needs to know the landlord's purpose (will) before building that house so each one can continue keeping it in shape just as he purposed when he built it.

That is what God's will means not that God has a plan for each person, it's you who must plan yourself to align with God's purpose which can never be overruled by anyone!

∆ God's Old Law of Moses comprised of about 613 commandments and statues. To that Law, every Israelite(Jews included)are born into as a result of the Covenant God made with Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, an everlasting Covenant.

∆ God's New Covenant Law, Jesus Christ, however, is comprised of about 100 teachings and commandments to which only those born of the blood of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob are able to subscribe to. This Law is equally an everlasting Covenant.

Jesus came with mercy not Laws. John 1;17
And the only commandment he Gave to his Jewish audience was to love one another. John 13:34.

Jesus yoke is easy.

According to John 1:11-12 anyone from any part of the earth can become a part of the arrangement if he or she put faith in Christ Jesus so all those living by Jesus' standards are his brothers and friends! John 15:12-15

Compared to the Old Law of Moses which came with a heavy yoke of 613 commandments, teachings and statues, Jesus Christ, God's New Covenant offered an easy yoke and light burden at just about 100 teachings and commandments. lipsrsealed

The Jews don't follow the Jesus tales. lipsrsealed

Jesus ONLY commandment is to love one another.
