PrecisionFx:Check the quantity that is lost compared to what is exported. I think your myopic mindset is what makes you resort to the use of curse words. I rest my case. |

/ Interesting! But militancy doesn't affect loading and shipping millions of barrels of oil every day from the same zones. How come Boko Haram and herdsmen did not stop wasteful oil exploration in the North? There are always excuses for complacency. // |

The blame for this should go to senators. Elect senators who are capable of influencing development of these ports and not just based on their popularity. |

yns4real:Is this why Warri seaport must be neglected by the federal government? Shell left Warri for Port Harcourt and since then unemployment is hitting hard on the restive youth. Boys in Warri now survives on yahoo scam. |

PrecisionFx:Last time I checked, crude oil tankers no dey berth for ports like regular container ships. Rather crude is pumped via a net work of pipes to them on the high seas. If they had to come really close to land to load the disruption will have been a total 100%. Plus with the deep offshore assets being the most viable these days, they have no business coming close to land. And oil companies have declared force majeure multiple times when boys with high sea faring hijacking abilities have disrupted crude lifting. |

freeze001:Ma am I keep falling in love with your posts here daily. Imagine the government is still searching for crude oil n the north with all its security challenges investing huge resources, human and financia even when there is no evidence of finding crude oil in commercia quantityl .But when it comes to the SE and SS, they are quick to name security challenges. |

Yankee101:"" Last time I checked, crude oil tankers no dey berth for ports like regular container ships."" Classic Afonja. Sits down in Okitipupa n assumes the workings of crude oil production n transportation in places they have NEVER stepped foot on ."" Plus with the deep offshore assets being the most viable these days, they have no business coming close to land. "" Stupid AFJ post. etebefia:They first of all use divisive policies to cause problems between the ethnicities; then come back to say the people are militant as an excuse to deny them basic development. All the Port collectively cannot work because of militants!!! Even Tinapa!!! |

okpanachil:na grand corruption...oil rig rental is thousand of dollars per day..for three 3years. In the Niger Delta oil companies were given licenses to prospect, they did the siemic studies, developed the field on their own on behalf of the JV. It is only up north that the FG is looking for oil on its own!!! If there are prospects there let them grant OPLs to private operators to go and look for the oil!! |

The Simple truth is that there is a conspiracy by FGN, North /West againt development in the East, all those are flimsy excuses imarging people from East coming to clear and transport their goods from Lagos. Libya created sea port for themselves and we are blocking our own God given sea ports so to say because of selfish interest . Before the slogan was ( use what have to develope your region), but by the time there discover oil in the East, it became a national cake till date Suerly the Eastern dream will come true ONE DAY |

wink2015:The DTSG drive away companies from the area with their policies..and it is deliberately to impoverish the people and make them subservient. They have ensure that every enterprise that can develop and employ people relocate from Delta. Even Eternit left Sapele for Enugu. Today there is no single multi national company with presence in Warri/Delta...and the govt does not care |
