There is a general believe that petroleum engineers earn more than any other engineering branch (with the least being CIVIL ENGINEERS �) .
But chemical engineers get more job opportunities.
All I want to ask is which is better

But I think chemical engineers will also be able to have a say in petroleum engineering since it seems the latter is a branch of the former. Right?

Both courses are great.
But I think chemical engineering offers you more opportunities than petrochem...
That's my personal opinion anyway...
