Presidential aspirant, Omoyele Sowore has said that members of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) will get N100,000 monthly if he is elected as President in 2019. Sowore said this while officially announcing the political platform for his presidential campaign in Abuja. According to the SaharaReporters publisher, Federal civil servants will also be paid the same minimum wage as corps members. Vanguard reports that Sowore said “Hundred Thousand Naira is what we plan to provide for Federal Civil Servants in the country and for Youth Corps members (NYSC), we have planned to pay the same amount. Every Youth Corps member would get the same amount as government worker.” Announces political party The presidential aspirant also announced that he believes his presidential ambition will be realised in the African Action Congress (AAC). He said “The very day we have all being waiting for has come. Today is the day the revolution we have been asking for will start in Nigeria. I have been saying for a long time that the day we launch our party will become the expiration day for the APC and PDP. “What has happened today is a culmination of serious works and mobilizations. He continued. “Everybody in Nigeria had expected I would join one of the existing political parties but we decided that our kind of agenda; our programs and gigantic plans for Nigeria, cannot be accommodated within the existing political structure and we decided to launch our own political party. “Today, we have the party that is known as the African Action Congress (AAC). The reason for choosing Africa is strategic. We are looking beyond Nigeria immediately because for every ten Africans you see, five to seven of them are Nigerians”. AAC's dream According to Sowore, the AAC’s dream is to transform Nigeria and Africa. The presidential aspirant said his party’s vision is to create jobs, overhaul the health sector, provide power supply, among many others. “A life of abundance in security, in power, in infrastructure, a life without corrupt old cargoes who have destroyed our educational system, health system and infrastructure. A life that has economy that works for all that provides jobs for young people, a life of opportunities so that the child of nobody can become somebody in Nigeria,” he added. http://www.metronaija.ng/n100000-for-corps-members-monthly-omoyele-sowore/ cc: lalasticlala mynd44 |

I kinda lost interest when he said he’ll scrap National Assembly if elected. The least he could’ve said was work with them to scrap the bogus allowances both at NASS and executive, and ensure a free and fair election so the right people are elected into those positions Now to the point of NYSC, what they need is sustainance beyond the service year, it would be nice if government fights the imbalance in wealth distribution and inflation so money can have value... by fighting imbalance, I mean, getting serious with taxation. Rich people are not taxed enough in Nigeria. They buy lands and own exotic properties without getting taxed, they keep large sums of money in banks without reinvesting those into the system and no taxes either. The tax revenue from These funds should be channeled towards education and business loans etc. There’s just so much to be done in Naija, we have many lazy people in government |

That's too much Mr Sowore Even the proposed 50k by the federal government is too much Most of our Corps members are unlearned and unproductive after college They're just bunch of illiterates dressed in an academy camouflage The best way to compensate them is to substitute any monetary rewards with basic entrepreneurship education, pray for them and encourage them that they still can become the likes of Aliko Dangote and Wale Adenuga of Nigeria If many past Nigerian graduates had this single opportunity, most of them would have been greater than where they are at the moment After all, business and entrepreneurship is the ultimate dream of many graduates |

make NYSC optional and let those who want to participate be taught skills and some taken to big farms in Nigeria to learn after which they can be given some money to start theirs. |

So what will be miminum wage then? N200k? If yes, how will you achieve this? Explain. NYSC allowance increment has to tally with the National minimum wage. Why? If a graduate is done with NYSC earning N100k, will he/she then have to settle for N50k jobs? The answer is hell no! Typical Afonja clueless & sophisticated moronic descendant of a skull shattered heavenly fugitive. The same way Tinubu promised N5000 per month to all graduates, two meals per day for pupils, N50 per litre of petrol & N100 to a dollar exchange rate. Only fools will buy this. |

hisgrace090: slimjohn2k5: SolutionMee: LuciferKristi:It is realistic, we did our homework before coming up with the proposal. Nigerians have been brainwashed by the past and present analogue leadership we've had, they've internalize oppression and made to believe certain things are not possible. We did the breakdown and analysis of the current salary scale and what we intends to pay to show the Naysayers that it is a possibility.

This man should start from local government chairman first. Let him contest that win first before stepping up to presidency |
