Yeah, factory fitted but the compressor that came with the car got spoilt at some point, so I replaced it which also got knocked last week, I also replaced Drier, replaced Evaporator then.

yeah me too, i want to change my engine to 2.0, it came with 1.6,they have two strong engine which is 2.0 and 1.6,don't go for 1.8 engine, though i may be wrong sha.

The manufacturer didn't put an ac in a car that couldn't handle it. Something else is wrong. The AC was made to go in that car as-is.

I have owned this car for 6 years and it has really served me well over the years but the engine is weak, started emitting smoke, so sometimes in March, I had it ringed, I'm still not comfortable with the job done.

I'm ready to change the car to Tokumbo grade again. I have actually started and I've spent more than 400k on the car from March till now already.

It looks very good already but u want it scanned and get a new Toks engine that would make me enjoy the car till I can afford a new one.

I'm bringing it to Lagos, I don't wanna be scammed or given bad products, who can help me out, I was advised not to go to Ladipo or Itire on my own, I need a VW specialist who can handle my car and bring it back to life.

Your car engine seem to be 1.4 16valve I.e aluminum block engine... If you want to enjoy your car without going through much stress look for a 1.6 16valve Engine I.e iron block engine and buy. Or you convert it to a 2.0 golf 4 engine (you will be needing a complete engine 2.0,brainbox ,complete wire,etc to do this.

my issue with them is not the fact that one can actually upgrade a cars engine(yankee guys do it all the time), it's the fact that they are strictly speaking from a "collect his money" point of view so the job is less than shabby.

I only gave my opinion base on the op question... I have more than 3 of the 1.4 engine in my shop it's the most common and cheapest golf4 or polo engine ....if you doubt come to my shop lol we are located @ shop 120 iyana itire garage Lagos�

For me if I have OEM parts unavailable here I will ship in and rebuild that engine walai. Even if I have to do it myself!!

if I had met u when I had to change my v5 engine then I'm sure you wld av said I shld go the 2.0 route
