There are two things involved.

1. It's her birthday but she stage managed everything to make it seem like she actually turned 50.

2. A 50 years old is actually celebrating his/her birthday, then she decided to take some pics with the props.

Either ways, she is lying, seeking attention; core "twitterian" attributes.
