in Africa we always believe our grand parents are some where around 100- 120 yrs. knowing fully well that average marriage age for a woman in Africa is around 25yrs and a man around 30-35 yrs .

then how come we all have grand parents of around 100- 130yrs yet we are 25-40 yrs

In Polygamous families such happens... When a Man of 65years marries 10 wife's... U never know if he is the last born son of the 10th wife with 4 children

Happy birthday ma but if the grandson is still young then she will be in her late eighties or maybe she gave birth to her children in her sixties.

so sad, never grew up to know my grannies.

Your calculation might be wrong. My friemd's grandpa died at about 140 or 150 over 10yrs ago. He had 29 wives and many kids. My friend is less than 40yrs.

She might not be up to 125, but she definitely looks over 100-years old, which is an achievement in itself.
