But when you get a brother who will always give bad advice to all the family and support strangers against his family every time, even when his family is right, better send him to do a new DNA, he may have been switched with another newborn unknowingly in the maternity ward when he was born.

I am very shocked this is coming from you considering that you have been on Nairaland for years and have witnessed the proliferation of monikers pretending to be igbo and causing havoc amongst our conversations. The moment any character is found to be claiming what they are not, their opinions become very suspicious from that moment. If someone has integrity, why do they need to carry a false identity.

I will fully embrace a non Igbo person participating in these conversations with us than one found to be pretending to be Igbo.

"When you see a snake in your garden, you have to get rid of it immediately or it will eventually end up on your bed while you sleep"

Look, anybody can claim Igbo just the same way anybody can claim Hausa or Yoruba because this is a faceless forum with fake names. Wikipedia has the list of all the communities in each state in Nigeria so anybody can open Wikipedia, pick any community and state and come here to deceive all of you. Just forget about who is Igbo or not and focus on the discussion or topic the person raised. I visit my village almost every Christmas but I have never crossed the Niger bridge to enter Anambra before talkess of the entire SE states, I am not even used to Asaba that is close to my village, I have only visited Asaba once in my life, so I judge based on the pics I see on nairaland and the statistics released by NBS and other organizations on states in Nigeria, so don't blame me. Its even because of the pics I have been seeing on nairaland that made me have interest in visiting the SE any time soon because, I grew up in Lagos and the mindset I had about the SE was that it was a total village, at least thank God I know better today.

Forget the aerial views, these are what I saw in Owerri, Imo state.

Someone has the most recent pictures and are exactly as depicted:

https://www.nairaland.com/4693174/imo-lg-election-hold-saturday

As I stated before, it is better witnessed than told. Okorocha is the worst thing that happened to Imo State.

By the grace of God, nothing will ever take me to Owerri again.

Okorocha has his shortcomings. But when someone like Abagworo comes online to lie about the rot in Imo state,
it leaves much to be desired and gives credence to the saying that blacks are their worst enemies.

//

The major problem is that he will still be in power till may 29, 2019. Why should a reasonable governor destroy a good road to upgrade it to 8 lanes when he does not have the funds to upgrade it? Okorocha should be dealt with for what he purposely did to Douglas and wethedral roads. The man just dey fall my hand every day, how will I defend him now on Nairaland with such ugly pictures going around online?

Our major problem in Igboland is illiteracy. I cannot for the life of me understand why people will rather question someone's Igboness than actually present a superior argument to counter theirs no matter how ludicrous their assertions are. I don't have to conform with a universally accepted idea to be Igbo. We need to do away with this disgusting attitude.

Mister Afam,

Just for your information, you are not more literate than many Igbos and neither are other tribes in Nigeria more literate than Igbo.

The problem is that an average Igbo person is taught to work hard but the average person in western Nigeria learns early how to be subversive and insidious. You see the same attitude here how people create funny monikers and argue age-long Yoruba or Fulani ethnic points of view or stereotypes of Igbos, while swearing they are "Igbo"

These people who come here claiming to be Igbo are not are not crazy as you may like to think, they are doing it for a purpose. Since you are not raised to be insidious, you will not understand their ways.

The people pointing it out to them that no Igbo person will gleefully accept the injustices of Nigeria as non-existent are right in doing so. Those fakers can come out with names as Abdullahi or Ogunlana and argue their point of view decently. Instead they choose Eze or Nnamdi thinking they are fooling anyone but themselves.

I agree with those that said folks should simply ignore them and that is what every reasonable person should do. It still won't stop them from using other silly monikers to respond to themselves, but at least we know this is a mad man talking to himself and hoping somebody will respond to their trash.

And if you think someone is daft, does that make the person anything but Igbo? It seems to e that there's a silent agreement that there's no stupid Igbo person in existence when in fact, i've met many of them online. Is Joe Igbokwe or Rochas Okorocha not Igbo? Ohh i foorget, he's Okoro awusa like you guys will call him. There's a lady on Youtube that constantly insults and derides Igbos every chance she gets and she's as Igbo as anyone else. Not everyone will treat Igbos withh respect and definitely not all igbo people themselves. So, let's stop acting like we're one hell of a homogenous people with a single thinking faculty. Most Igbos will like Ojukwu, a handful will hate and insult him and they have their reasons. Many Igbos will support IPOB and many will condemn and call them out. That's what the republican nature of Igbos is all about. We musn't always agree on any issue and we shoudln't de calling the Igboness of anyone to question because oof it.

I praise Rochas Okorocha for acting out his real profession on our people because we're too trusting as a people. This was a great prankster who made his money by swindling people and claiming some questionable philanthropy, and finally he made his move using the church against a sitting governor
Imo state people fell for his raucous, rabble rousing nature not because of any single track record of achievement. He had dribbled Peter Obi for the Apga ticket and dumped him shortly after. His move to apc was predictable, to spite the Igbo powers in pdp and claim victimisation for his underdog status.

My brother, don't allow anybody to belittle or question your Igboness. As long as you are sincere, just know that you are Igbo, whether East or West of the Niger. Dalus so.

I am not sure of the exact value but, lands will be too costly here. This is the home town of so many heavy industrialists and top line manufacturers. Most of them are trying to maintain a home front and branch of their business so you can imagine the price war over any piece of land for sale. Land is scarce here.

The fact that we are in a faceless forum does not give you the effrontery to insult me like this. How dare you insinuate such statement about me? Because I do not have rash view about life like doesnt make me less who I am. In fact, if you had been close to me, I would have landed you a big slap. Sometimes you people just come online to insult people you do not even know!

So i should be as brash as you are so that we can all be called igbo. Because it is the same parent that bore us and we have faced the same experience since child birth. How can you be spewing such nonsense from your mouth? Do you sound educated at all? If all of us act and behave the same, you will still call us humans and not robots? Even in network, no two networks behave as one not to talk of humans. You have really reduced the respect I have for some of you in this thread. Every small thing, he is not igbo. Thanks for the information. An Nnewi guy told me this anyway, he claimed that his grand mum was buried on an expensive piece of land, because no land was available for her burial.

No, the clannish government we have in Anambra State will rather take everything to his village than build something tangible in a commercial and industrial nerve center of the state. Aguleri today has more solid road infrastructure than the entire towns in Anambra State.

I've been waiting for your comment , I have been following this thread for quite sometime, and I most say your appraisal and analysis are excellent ,they speak of someone who knows his origins and history, who struggles for the present so as to secure the future...most of our people do not really know their history, even the govt doesn't want us to know, that's is why history is no longer taught in sec schools, even Unis now give preference to foreign history than Africa..how can we move forward with out knowing who we are, where we are and where we are headed to....
