A self-acclaimed Evangelist has warned people to desist from praying naked as it is a way of seducing God. Ben Dzwa who doubles as a farmer and Benue State official, took to his Facebook page to share his thoughts on the act which quite a lot of people have prior to this time, thought was more effective. According to him, the act is not only unscriptural but also a way of trying to seduce God to answer prayers...continue... https://dailynaija.com/post/praying-naked-is-like-trying-to-seduce-god-to-answer-you-evangelist. |

Shelumiel:How about, "to reduce the barriers the Holy Spirit encounters as it attempts to enter one"? One must help God help oneself na. Though, if God is tempted by the sight of naked flesh, one should wonder at the limitations and almightiness of that God, I would have thought. 3 Likes |

DailyNaija: Shelumiel: budaatum:There is nothing that stirs and moves God, like coming to Him "gbalanja" just the way He first created man. You come to Him that way, showing you aren't hiding and have nothing to hide or hide from. Now this isn't talking about physical butt nickedness but rather talking about opening up and not window dressing or clothing things up. Expose yourself to God, expressing your vulnerabilities etcetera |

MuttleyLaff:You booked late. Must be all that tarting you thinking about doing. Wonder what for. I'm at Enish tomorrow avo. You may pay for my Gulder. I'm planning 2 but doubt I would get that far since I'm light weight lately. You may fork out for my pounced yam and efo riro though so it's worth your while. Lunch is at 4pm. |

God is not a flesh that He should be enamoured by his tiny creation! God who created Adam and Eve does not need to do such with His creation! How do you tell me such nane whiles, telling me "going naked to bed in the secret of my bed chamber, where I took my rest, I should not first pray to the All Seeing God naked? He to whom, been born naked we need return to naked"? |

budaatum:I didnt read you call out for bookings, so whats the "you booked late" all about budaatum:You rather I have the appearance of a hobo budaatum:Sumptious and I am salivating already. I dont want to get water on my hair, so if it doesnt rain tomorrow avo, I'll be there If I didnt know you better, I would have taken you to be a tight-arse git for asking me to pay for your guilder, pounded yam and efo riro |
Re: "Praying Naked Is Like Trying To Seduce God To Answer You" by budaatum: 6:45am On Aug 25, 2018 |
MuttleyLaff:It wasn't a booking. You seem to have seen it as one however, hence the tarting. And I was going for the Gulder and pounced yam anyway, and they don't exactly give it a way regardless of the tightness of ones ass! All the same, I think rain is forecast. Thankfully I got no hair! |

This praying unclad is one of the useless things that have crept into Christianity from idolatry ......real Christians should stop it. Can I pray when unclad like when I am in the bathroom having my birth ?......YES should I UnCloth because I want to pray and appear humble and open before God ?......NO |

MuttleyLaff:Haba! Ota l'ekunle! I figured the tarting was competition, you slimy, jumping on my parade! Ah well seems the individual involved doesn't quite love as much as I was thinking. Must be that "agape love", which, if you asked me, is seeming more like some fake love that doesn't exist. It sure sounds nothing like the master taught, least not like I understand it. No, I never been to a joint in Barking. There's one in Peckham though, a proper mama put, I sometimes go for a quicky. But it's Enish today. The owners are friends I haven't seen in a while so today na today! I might post a picture just so no one misses out. |
Re: "Praying Naked Is Like Trying To Seduce God To Answer You" by MuttleyLaff: 6:15pm On Aug 25, 2018 |
budaatum:Nah, no competition, If I had done a Bobrisky, and put on a low cut blouse, then that's competition and competing Given half a chance, you too, will do same, jump, on an awoof parade budaatum:I dont know why I've never added fake love along with agape, philia, storge, pragma, eros, tough, philautia and ludus as another different type of love. I included tough love but fake love escaped me. It just beats me how it managed to slip through. budaatum:Come out of Canning Town DLR, and it less than 5 minutes walk to the destination. I think the place is called "Squires" budaatum:If you say there's is one in Peckham, you're then prolly referring to the one on Choumert Street. budaatum:I put that nondescript joint on Barking Road, Canning Town end side to be precise, with their "abula" speciality over and above the Peckham joint You know what "abula" is, dont you? You've tasted and eaten "abula" before, havent you? budaatum:I like its ambience Prior to setting up Enish, which restaurant and where in Naija, were the couple before managing? |

MuttleyLaff:Do I know what abula is? You funny. Ifon Osun is in Osun State. We not far from Ibadan. About an hour if I'm driving. In fact, you get to go through it from Lagos to get to Ifon. And since it's half way there, you got to stop at Ibadan for abula, except when Ibadan people say amala, you got to check they don't mean lafun. Drive on to Osogbo and you wouldn't be disappointed. And only sub amala for iyan if you're a pig! Enish is run by Sola and Eniola Medupin, a husband and wife couple, now plus a daughter born last Thursday. Sola's ma ran a restaurant in Nigeria, so I'd say they got pedigree. I'm light weight these days so subbed my iyan for fried yam with efo riro and fresh fish and washed it down with a Gulder. If I move suddenly, I just might burst! The Peckham joint is called Lolak and is run by Mama Lolak. It is on Choumert Street. Her abula is £8, so cheaper than most places. It's not so much a restaurant I suppose, but a proper buka. Might go there someday soon. I'm walking distance to 805 by the way, but don't go there much. Been supporting Enish instead. But all this talk makes me miss home. Three day old from seed tete or ugwu mixed with ewuro both from my farm, cooked in palm oil from my very own palm trees, tomatoes and peppers with smoked fish caught in the Owala River, eaten with yams I planted and washed down with palmy from my own palm trees is to die for. Except the bloody river is infested with schistosomiasis during the rain season, which paralysed me from the waist down! Talk about an ab'olonje ku, except the onje is all grown and cooked by me. There's nothing like killing oneself with one's own hands, I tell you. |
Re: "Praying Naked Is Like Trying To Seduce God To Answer You" by MuttleyLaff: 12:44am On Aug 26, 2018 |
budaatum:All this write up for me Of course "amala dudu" (i.e. black amala) is made from dried plantain & yam flour. Amala dudu" is cooked for the Ibadan and as far as Oyo environs palate (Osun and Oyo States) "Lafun" which incidentally is white, actually is black amala's brother from another mother "Lafun" is made from dried cassava flour & originates from Egba land (i.e. Ogun State) An "abula" is "amala dudu" or "lafun" plonked in a sea of ewedu, gbegiri and obe ata serenaded by a lot of all sorts of assorted orisirisi meats, like shaki, ponmo, oxtail, raincoats, jackets, abodi, fuku, liver, cow leg etcetera The plonking, in the midst of those assorted orisirisi meats usual suspects, is the recognisable sign, that tells you're having "abula" I know by names, its run by them. It's just that I was curious which restaurant, when I heard they managed a top restaurant in Lagos for a decade. Thought maybe they gained their experience working in Federal Palace Hotel, Eko Hotels or somewhere similar Lolak on Choumert Road hasnt got the appealing look. It, just get as it be. Soulless Dont know whether you remember, the back in the day & now defunct "Adani", situated along New Kent Road? Used to operate from one of the blocks of shops just before the Esso filling station Mentioning "Adani" is taking me down memory lane, now I am now reminiscing, losing count of the number of times, when waiters come to our table, and plunge drinks on it, less than fives minutes of our sitting down, after arriving unannounced then saying at and to our quizzical looks, that one of their patrons sitting at the far end, instructed them to serve my better half and I the drinks Upon straining to see who is the person, it either turns out to be one of my cousins or one of our mutual friends Enish, hands down, beats 805. Dont get me wrong, I havent anything against 805, not especially since after their improved on interior, major upgrade works etcetera. There is the new Empire to the right of 805 and two others to its left . The first left is Ghanaian or Sierra Leone, whilst the further away left one is Naija, just like Empire is too. Give Barking Road East Ham/Canning Town DLR "Abula" a trial Your life will never be the same again Nkan ngbe. Schistosomiasis what? Man is his worst enemy I enjoyed reading you taking pride in reaping the benefits of your arable work eating and enjoying the fruits of your labour This side of life is too short. Sighs 1 Like |

MuttleyLaff:I must confess that I never used to eat out much since I'm a rather good cook myself. And now I eat much less so it's hardly worth eating out. I bought a pressure cooker today thoug. I'm hungering for beans, so I'm going to get some panla and ede during the week and kill it in pepper. Might have it with some dodo though I'm not usually one for frying. I went to the further away one recently when I found there was a shortage of Guinness. Ireland have copied Nigerians' and the shops in my neighbourhood were trying to palm it off on me. I went to the further away one in the afternoon and the waitress swore Nigeria was written on the bottle she had except when she checked she couldn't find it written anywhere. Next time I went she hid behind the counter. Only other place I do go on Old Kent Road is Le Joint. It's a fish place run by Lado or something close. Tiny, but my old school association get a good deal so we like it. I used to go to a place in Deptford called Broadway. T'was run by a lawyer, least she said she was, and her sons, but it's shut down now. I've also been someplace popular in Deptford, along the market, but they got crawlies, and I hate crawlies despite their nice takeaways so don't go no more. Then there's Flames on Lee High Road which used to be my local long before Pastor Sam and his Ghanaian wife took over. It started off with some nice lady who made good food which I liked, then some guys took it over before P. Sam. I liked it because I could go in at 2am and still get fed, and since it was always dead, it was a favorite of mine to go read a book. At times you'd of thought I worked there. Sola did say he started off in Lagos having learnt from his ma. I must say, they've made a good go at it and have even opened a second place, in Finchley, I think it is. In the early days it was me and a book there too, but they get very busy these days, or perhaps I don't go in the afternoon anymore after half days at work. I might go check one of these days Memories! I used to help with planning applications is how I got to know most of the local places really, and the fact my living wasn't conducive to cooking much. We Nigerians seem to always be looking for some corner to cut so I had to insist on paying for my food despite them offering me freebies. I used to hate they'd get slack just because I'm Nigerian! Talking about books, for like since I was seven and ma whipped reading into me, I'd read everyday and would sometimes have up to five going. But the last two years since I got back from Nigeria, I don't think I've read five books, and that's an exaggeration, I think closer to less than two and a half! It's why you're getting this long story. I make more words these days than I actually read! But I think podcasts are taking over. I'm currently hooked on the History of China, and plan to listen to the Bible again, but this time I might do it in the nude to see what barriers get broken down. Damn, do I not just ramble on! |
